I have an m1 MacBook Pro 16gb ram. Before that, I had a 2016 base MacBook slim or whatever it’s called and it was the same. As long as you set up LR correctly, cull inside library mode with the histogram off and hard drive unplugged, there’s no lag whatever machine

I find that it isn't what's "right", it's what looks good, so as long as your montor is properly adjusted, just play with the sliders until you like the results. With experience it takes about ten seconds on the average picture.

wonderful tip, and seriously, it's amazing how we have like 10 different paid 3rd party plugins that can do the job perfectly, and adobe still don't have a native solution for this issue

Great technique, is like using the eye dropper but with absolute control. This it's a complement to other techniques like increase the vibrance at maximum and balance the white by perception. Also you have to be aware that this "perfect WB" can be twisted for creative reason or achive some personal style.

From my observation, aligning the RGB peaks doesn’t always work, if one colour is very dominant in one of the either shadows, mid-tones or highlights. I was editing an image taken whilst hiking, and the image had a lot the sky showing. The sky was predominantly blue as it was decently clear day. So blues will dominated the highlights on the histogram - and trying to align the peaks created a massively yellow hue across the image (too warm). So I instead focused on making sure the Red and Green peaks were within 1% of each other, and ignored the blue peak. So how would you better apply this rule/suggestion when trying to get the prefect WB? Seems like in the end, it comes down to using your own visual judgment. One thing that someone told me, is to place your mouse on something that is meant to be white, and then make the histogram adjustments that way. By placing your mouse on that white item, you will then see the histogram values for that area - and then simply try and make sure the values are within 1% of each other.
@darknoise6662 ай бұрын
Exactly, that's why the balance you do it over a tiny part of the photograph where the color is white or neutral as someone told you.

Add me to the list. I bought a z7ii about 18 months ago. A few times, I turn it on and the lcd screen stays black but it always came on right away if I shut it off and started it again. Also I noticed many times if I flipped vertical, the LCD would go black. Flip it horizontal and it would come back. Now today on a shoot, I flip the camera on and the screen won't come on at all. Tried literally everything, nothing would get it to come back on. An hour later, it's coming on again magically. All in all, I've been completely dissatisfied with the z7ii. Indoor white balance SUCKS on it as well. Now to hear Nikon is denying the issue, maybe I need to start looking elsewhere for my next camera. Tired of this.

It’s a massive shame. There is obviously a huge issue. I’m considering sacking off my z6ii (currently my second body to my z8) and going canon

I do love the idea of PHYSICAL 🖨 Prints. I've been kinda torn between this option & another that Vanessa Joy does: More/less same process -- shoot the day of, camera connected to native sharing app, download a few images to quickly edit in Lr mobile & then put it to a new Album within the Ipad/Tablet & have it play while being showcased on a stand or presented to the couple/passed around by guests. Then theres that SpotMe (?) app option.

Well, I've been syncing by hand (I mean ear) for years cuz' I didn't know there is such a feature in premiere. Just yesterday I've come up with an idea to fasten my workflow to put on SOLO the main track and the track I want to sync, the first on left band and the other to the right. This fastened my workflow by 10x at least. Now I am mind blown that the whole process could be executed with 1 single click. Well.... we always learn something new.

I have an issue with syncing three video clips with audio. I think the main issue is that my two cameras shot a hour interview with 4096x2160 24fps in .mov whereas a friend shot 3840x2160 59.94fps in .mp4. Will your sync method get me to the point I can then use multi camera editing?

I own a Z8 and is great. Then I decided that I wll go with cheaper gear Nikon D850 because I tought that I dont need a Z8 camera coz Im not a pro, and it cost a lot. So luckily I bought a mint D850 but decided to hold on to Z8 until I try the D850. I had previously owned a lot of DSLRs but have honestly got spoiled by the Z8 and forgot how it is to shot with a DSLR 🤣 Few days of shooting with a D850 and it was clear to me how good Nikon Z8 really. Its an amazing camera. I was so happy when I got Z8 in my hands again and decided it is gonna be my camera for a long time. If it doesnt fail me of course ☺
