Fun fact after doing one of the davenport mission where the carpenter makes a folding chair you can talk to him where you can try DaVinci flying machine but it's fails because conor is a native not a Italian

I loved Odyssey, my biggest issue with it was the reeeeally tedious traveling through vast distances at times before discovering fast travel points, like horseback riding sometimes for 10+ minutes… The only times I used a trainer to speed up the game to 4-5x normal speed. Also if you didn’t play with Cassandra, you played it wrong 😄

Agreed. Also, when it comes to post launch contect, the DLCs kinda f*cked up the lore a lil bit sometimes; with the kassandra/aya thing (in origins we dont see aya and her son khemu exhibiting isu dna when come to contact with the apple of eden, excepting aya interacting inside the siwa vault, and the apple not showing connection to khemu), darius also doing a leap of faith, the pyramids in the last cinematic being built in the 5th-4th century xD. How the order of ancients made a way into greece thanks to the cult of kosmos decline is explained well and the darius killing xerxes cinematic was nice I personally prefer fate of atlantis because, even tho its way more grindy than lotfb and its based on isu simulations made by aletheia which are mixed with kassandra's greek cosmovision, but also have interesting pieces of info detailing isu society & politics (specially in atlantis city). The present day is kinda wack and cringy sometimes, having layla as a protagonist that none of us empathized back then, before darby mcdevitt (in valhalla) managed to connect all the plot holes left by past games Ultimately, both DLCs suffer from mediocre cinematics due to the lack of mocap, similar to the main game & big part of the RPG era

Odyssey is easily the best AC game. 2nd best at worst. It's definitely the most fun I have with the franchise.

You mith think you would like Desmond brought back, but consider this: He would be brought back by the same people who made all those forgetable chars that came after him. I think its better to remember him as he was then to see his legacy dragged through mud (and worse).

The 11th century Templar outfit from rogue looks a lot like the Templar outfit from unity of the Templar you play as in the intro/prologue

I can’t believe people actually have an issue with the mercenary system. The fact there’s an enemy hunting you down that’s stronger and can pop up at any moment. That makes the game way more exciting and challenging than just being able to oneshot everyone from start to finish.

I really enjoyed the game but I agree with all those flaws. One additional one is while in most Assassin’s Creed games I feel like a hero helping out the people, this one I just felt like I was playing a psychopath killing people indiscriminately by the end - this was how you had to play not just my gameplay choices. Also did you play the Odyssey/Valhalla crossover dlc? I did think that acted like a good final ending to the game.

As someone who is currently playing Ghost of Tsushima I feel like it is everything Assassins Creed Red should be ..... but then it wouldn't be a modern Ubisoft game now would it.
