the audio and the video don’t match. around the minute mark the phrasing went jumped down while chico’s hand moved higher up the piano. before that chico hits the V I accent notes at the high end of the piano but they didn’t make a sound. at one point you can see him accidentally play the seventh when he’s doing octaves but you don’t hear the mistake.

I’d give my right arm to be able to play like that.

Chico was a wonderful husband, too. His wife said that even after 20 years of marriage, her heart would still speed up at the sound of his approaching step.

The reason Chico could clown on the piano while playing is hours and hours and hours and hours of PRACTICE!!!! Probably even more hours and hours and hours and hours of PRACTICE!!!!! And comedic genius!!!!

Yes, the young woman at the end of the piano was truly enjoying the music along with the rest of the group. Try that today in 2024 and people would sadly walk right past, their faces baried in their phones...

And knowing all I’ve learned from my ‘Marx Brothers books library’ I scan all the ‘extras’ and wonder which one (or how many) Chico was banging. I love him, but he had very little self control, with women and gambling.

Comedian Freddy Lewis used to do a wonderful Chico Marx impression in the early '80s. In fact, he used to sign autographs as Chico Lewis.

Chico was fun and a good entertainer and piano player, loved him. However, to do justice to this tune please go and watch Liberace play Beer Barrel Poker. The 1950's black and white version when he had his television show back then. Liberace truly was a Master Pianist. It's still on KZfaq. I did love chico though too, he was always enjoyable to watch, thank you for this video.

Do not feel sorry for Gummo and Zeppo. They were not famous onscreen as their brothers Chico, Harpo, and Groucho, but they were very successful and wealthy with their own career. They both were their brothers' business agents and did other stuffs. Except for Chico who was a lifetime gambler, Zeppo and Gummo were multimillionaires like Groucho and Harpo.
