Don't understand the calculation. As long as the Q quaterion is Cos theta/2 +isintheta/2 .X +jtheta/2.Y +Ktheta/2 and P is 1,0,0,0 why do you multiplicate by 1/2 ? The same calculation with a program for the final result gives for the sandwich product 0.5,0,0,0.866.Can you please clarify a little more your calculation? Thanks

Regarding your two boxes, at about 5:20 you mention the "imperfect physics" of the program - not to be a dick but the only thing I could determine to be 'imperfect' there is your intuitive understanding of Newton's laws. As far as those boxes go, without even knowing what that seemingly arbitrary numeric value of 1000 represents, what I saw from the boxes is exactly what I think I should expect to see. I saw a perfect example of Newton's 1st and 2nd in action lol. Box-1 being the only one given a magnetic/gravity field, would fall straight down at sim start. Box-2 would also begin in a negative-Z direction but would be immediately influenced by the field generated by Box-1, being deflected laterally towards it. And despite the relative closeness of the two boxes, 1000x "force" acting on Box-2 was obviously enough to generate a bit of momentum - enough to impart a lateral deflection on Box-1 off of its -z decent. Everything looked fine to me, so I'm curious... what exactly were you expecting to happen there? Box-2 sticks to Box-1 and they both fall straight down, maybe? Or did you think Box-2 should have bounced off or something?.. 🤔

Next, at 8:32 I believe it should be -3/8 (blue) and not -sqroot(3)/4 (blue) And one more thing, the rotation of the rotation quaternion is shown as an angle of 60 deg between the x-axis and the rotation quaternion. It's a little confusing because actually teta (60 deg) is the rotation around the yellow axis. That also explains why the rotated point [0, 5/8, sqroot(3)/8, -3/4] has a z-value (-3/4) different from 0.

helpful, but your excel technique is very painful to watch. you can make variables absolute very quickly using the F4 key and can duplicate formulas and formatting in subsequent rows/columns using the Fill Down or CTRL+D keys. fill colors is also quicker using the drop-down in the toolbar rather than opening the cell properties. also wolfram has since implemented 3d graphing.

indeed 5 buttons looks better... do you think wireless or with wire is better? i've read most wireless are heavy so not very good for drawing too many hours.. i'm thinking a 5 button with wire...how about that? i work many hours per day in acad
