I dont know why Trucks doesn't get Warren Haynes,, a keyboard player, and keep the rest of the group and then you got The Allman Bros back again.

There are VERY few guitarists that can push Derek Trucks to new heights of brilliance - one of them is in this video: Jack Pearson.

Pointless jamming, tons of sour notes. I can't stand this. It lacks energy and focus. What the hell are these people doing? I hate this.

Duane Allman might have drifted of to jaz met Stanly Clark , the basist and who knows. this is a hint of what he was heading to. with also a backward dive into blues? wow having said that, I hope I did not upset anybody.

Dickey to Gregg after auditioning Jack Pearson for second guitar spot in ABB when Warren leaves: "I don't know whether to offer him a job or ask him for lessons." They then gave Jack one of Duane's Coricidin bottles to play slide.

How did Greg Allman find so many great, legendary guitarists for the ABB? It's impossible to get better than Dickie and Duane, but every incarnation found someone else extraordinary and on that level where you can play anything with anybody and more than hold your own.

This is why for the period when Jack Pearson was in the ABB, it may have been it best band since the original lineup.. Derek is good, but Jack is way better.. just my opinion.

Would loved to have had Jack & Derek together full-time at any point in the ABB ... and throw in Jimmy Herring, too, for a three-way meltdown
@jackcame2 Жыл бұрын
@@thomaspope5471 That would be something. Derek's playing always rises to a whole new level when he's around Herring or Pearson.
