@@MTRB_Official Gave it another watch through and got some notes. Great job on the editing and overlays. I liked the zoom in to the route. I liked the POV cuts too, the blurring effect on the side is a bit distracting (I watch on an 86” screen). I like the time lapse segments a lot too. They made for good transitions. Now one little critique, the title page tranistion could use a little pop, black and white lettering is easy to read, but it should reflect the amazing personality of the rest of your video. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

I agree with keeping your skin covered from the Sun, but I have a slightly different perspective on the Under Armor clothing. It’s good stuff, I have nothing against it, if you’re built for it, but I’m not. At 6’1” and 250 lbs, Under Armor feels like it’s trying to cut off my circulation. I work on heavy equipment, my arms, legs, shoulders and especially hands don’t fit the norm. I’m not here to recommend a brand, just to simply say that tight clothing doesn’t fit all of us. Please don’t take this against your video, it’s not, it’s just to reaffirm to others that aren’t if the GQ mold. Ride safe!
@Sasquatch_by_Day-nv3yh3 ай бұрын
Under Armour does make loose fitting clothing, you don't have to buy the compression style shirts. I'm 6'2" 245lbs and only wear loose Under Armour shirts on long trips, if it's super hot I soak it down in cold water each time I stop for gas. That's been my habit for almost 2 decades now.

Entertaining video. I am certainly not an expert but If safety is your number one concern, the only part of the body that 'might' get sunburned would be the neck area. If you go down, the fingerless gloves, jeans and sleeveless vests will sure no purpose. Please folks, dress for safety. It's taken me years of riding to fully realize that I was under dress for safety. Yes, the full gear is uncomfortable at times but I take all possible precautions I can when riding. (full face helmet, textile coat and pants w/proper pads, full gloves and heavy duty leather waterproof boots) I love your comment about hydration. It is very very important, particularly on long days in the saddle.

As a rider for 50 years and over a million miles, I have to heartily disagree with you on several of your comments, Regarding gear, jeans are basically useless in a crash - they shred in seconds and then your skin takes over. Purpose-designed riding gear is a far better source of protection. Fingerless gloves? Common sense should tell you that the tips of your fingers will lose against sliding down the pavement every time. Motorcycle-specific boots are in almost every example a better choice for motorcycling. Your girl's moisture-wicking purple base layers will shred in an instant. Am I occasionally too warm? Yes, but I prefer planned sweating to unplanned bleeding. I've seen some absolutely preventable injuries in the operating room and trauma ICU that might make you reconsider some of your advice.
@MTRB_Official4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. You are absolutely correct. I guess my opinion is more so practicality. You can dress like an armored knight everywhere you go and you’ll be safe. But not everyone can afford $200 pants and wants to wear 3 layers of clothes. So my advice is be safe and be comfortable. At some point if you are too weighed down to want to ride for more than an hour, you should probably be driving a car, in my opinion. Again, you are right about that stuff being safer. I don’t disagree with anything you said. I just weigh comfort and safety, and that’s my base level.
@MattLewis-qt2gb4 ай бұрын
If you can't afford the gear, you can't afford the bike. Multiple layers are not necessarily required, nor are they necessarily inordinately heavy. Perhaps a little more experience would increase your level of true knowledge. Lastly, spend some time with me in the operating room and trauma ICU. Watching grown men screaming like 5-year-olds while we debride their pavement-rashed flesh might give you pause to reevaluate the "comfort level" and "practicality" of your choices while riding.

@@MattLewis-qt2gbdude, don’t be a righteous asshat. You ride your ride, let other people ride theirs. The author of the video made some very valid points about HIS choices for HIS ride. You don’t have to agree with them, but to be so disrespectful is uncalled for. Your experience only makes you an expert in how you ride.
