mine just ends up looking like a rough sphere. any ideas? i add the subdivide modifier 5/5 and the displace modifier and it's just a sphere still.
@cacium138914 күн бұрын
in the displace modifier, you need to click "new" under the texture thing. Then go down to the texture and it says like "image/" click that then choose voronoi

tip to fix flat faces being abnormal due to surrounding vertices not being flat: 1. In edit mode, mark all edges as sharp 2. Add edge split mod (make sure sharp edges is checked) 3. Add triangulate mod 4. Shade smooth Otherwise, this was a very cool way to make stylized rocks that I've never seen before, nice work!

There is a free addon called cavity pass for that purpose also no need for workbench
@BlenderArtifex2 ай бұрын
Yes you're right! It works well but I personally find it to take more steps for a worse render as it has less settings on the cavity type itself.
@noonejustaperson2 ай бұрын
@@BlenderArtifex downside of this method you can't use it with an actual render. Best option might be to use a custom flat matcap (to remove shading) and enabling cavity to mix it with the render from a different render engine such as eevee but that is much more intimidating in my opinion
