You may try the Windows key on left of the space bar, or alt. I have done it with a none Apple Keyboard before so there may be some tail and error to see which key it thinks is the command key.

We think they are reusing the cases that had it built in, but the current model's do not have a DVD drive.

That is correct! We frequently open these up to take the drives out because they are cheaper than just the drive by itself sometimes especially if they are on sale.

Sadly we had to send it back because it kept overheating and crashing.

There is no availability to upgrade or enhance this computer.

The website has the measurements as 307 x 125 x 46 mm, converting to US measurements gives us 12.09 x 4.92 x 1.81 inches I hope that helps, it did not fit in the vast majority of our standard sized cases including the new Alienware R16 without it being a tight squeeze.

Thank you for waiting, we did open up the case to look and it seems while there is a slot on the case to support a smaller PCI card the motherboard lacks such a port so this is not a recommended machine for adding a discrete GPU and unfortunately we are stuck with the integrated one.

So far it hasn't affected the temperature. The temperature hasn't changed much if at all with the back plate.

Exactly our thoughts! Windows only takes up with all the programs about 100Gb. The rest of the data is leveraged by our on site storage. We did have to double the ram eventaully because of some bottlenecking with some larger applications.

@@TachibanaTech Oh yes - 16gb RAM is indeed the minimum - that's what I got with my i3 - should have said that.

We have gotten a machine before that was actually refurbished when it was suppose to be new, if you are concerned we recommend calling Dell and see if they are willing to swap you out.

@@TachibanaTech I contacted dell and they told me I got a new unit. How did you know the machine you received was refurbished?

That has happened with a few other of our laptops too, some were were able to fix by fully discharging the battery and fully charging it while not using the battery a few times the rest we had to RMA for a replacement.

We definitely agree, it was a very sad shame that they did this design. Even worse they seem to have finally spread it to the laptops too. We are hoping that they bring back the creative designs if there is enough backlash. We will definitely be looking at other machines to unbox if they keep this design trend.

While we appreciate your willingness to call out false information when you see it, we did the research for you and if you watched the video you would see that in the lower corner of the manual in the box it says 2020 which Wikipedia says is the third revision and if you read the model number on the box also in the video it shows model 1914 which according to iFixit which is a very large technology company that model is "The third revision of the classic Xbox Wireless Controller was released in November 2020". It has actually held up pretty well considering it is a none OEM battery, it has lost some maximum life over the years but nothing too straining.

Yeah we agree, the Dell G line was always for the folks that wanted gaming in a normal box and Alienware was always the extravagant design so this was pretty disappointing. At least they started the R16 at a lower price with higher specs than in years past.

I lied, it is an option to select to upgrade from regular RAM to the black XMP ram :(

If you are talking about the blue tab attached to the blue slot that the GPU is in that looks like an arrow under the alien head. It’s a push.
