Fun fact, if I remember correctly, due to Gen 2's programming, the form of unown actually does affect the shiny rates of each letter. Sometimes it makes it much easier, and other times it can actually make itmuch harder

a man of culture as well I see… I really love the OG park ball and the yellow one too- in terms of balls I actually got to use on pokemon I wanted to, my faves are the fast, lure and dream balls respectively, though I’m partial to a luxury, dive and yes even quick ball when paired with a mon that suits the colour scheme. I never did ball capsules the first time and despite fiddling with it for ages can’t find any of them pleasing

Wow!! I recently got Violet after I had stopped playing pokemon after Platinum’s release. I felt nostalgic and bought a switch with Violet. Since then, pokemon has become an obsession again. Crystal was my favorite game growing up. I just bought a 3DS with crystal downloaded on it off eBay. I am so excited to relive the game but more importantly to attempt this shiny hunt. I've been hunting this guy for a few months now. Its been a longer grind than I anticipated. I've stuck through for shiny Ho-oh, Rayquaza and Mewtwo on HG/SS so I know it's bound to pop before those 3. Ho-oh took years but I took breaks. Mewtwo was a straight grind and took about a month 8-12 hours a day when I had a job doing security. These days I put in 1-3 hours a day.

There is nothing I hate more than trade evolutions and it's variants, jeez I don't have friends and the only time I managed to "legally" have a traded mon was in 6th Gen where I managed to find a guy who would trade back my mon after it evolved ane not much later some asswhole stole my politoed with the king's rock and refused to trade it back, it was the only time I could actually use my favorite pokemon (gengar) and to this day I can't play any pokemon game without a "fixed evos" hack

I honestly really enjoyed Ogre Oustin’ with friends! We had a really great time playing it and getting a shiny Munchlax each was such a cool reward! The lag is annoying, but some of the glitches were downright hilarious!

You missed: Partner Pikachu/Eevee, Cosplay Pikachu, the Cap Pikachus, Spiky Eared Pichu, Dada Zarude, Neutral mode Xerneas, the elemental Drives for Genesect, Ogerpon's unique Terastal forms (not listed in Pokemon HOME for some reason unlike Terapagos), the thousands of possible Spinda forms, and the Totem Pokemon you get as rewards for the sticker hunt in USUM. If you wanted to include Pokemon the player can battle but not obtain, there are: the special Ghost Marrowack from RBY/FRLG/LGPLGE, the Smeargle with a bow tie in Pokestar Studios, the Totem Hakkamo-o from the Sun and Moon demo (its not even a sticker reward), Eternamax Eternatus (I guess you covered it under the footnote for Megas/Primals/G-Max), the shadowy Giratina in BDSP, and the Starmobiles. There is also the Eternal Flower Floette who's sprite was spotted in a datamine in Pokemon HOME a while back. If you want to include non-Pokemon that you can battle, there are the Ghost Illusions from before you get the Silph Scope in the Kanto games, and the Pokestar Studios Green-Screen props that become the Special Effects. There's also Shadow Lugia and the non-transferrable costume/event Pokemon in Pokemon Go.

Ogrepon also has a different tera type from each mask, and they also boost different stats.

I dunno if anyone mentioned this but you missed the Partner Cap Pikachu forms from USUM and the Cosplay Pikachu forms from ORAS.

I believe Ogerpon's Terrastalised formes count separately, rather than as just tera'd versions of her regular formes, due to her getting a new ability in this state (Embody Aspect - apparently each forme has a unique ability with the same name)

You missed Genesect! The drive that it's holding is shown on its sprite/model and changes the type of techno blast, so they do count as different forms. Specifically, it has its burn, shock, douse, and chill drive forms, alongside its normal form.

I love the theory that all these weird evolution mon always evolved via their respective methods, people in the pokemon universe just hadn't thought of or discovered them yet. Makes a lot more sense why certain mon gain evolution stages in later generations that way.
