This land makes no sense: why would you go from 1920's Paris to post 90's Ministry of Magic (given that we attend the trial of Unbridge)?

Very excited for this, but a 1990s London attraction being housed in a land of 1920s Paris feels so random I wonder if there’ll be a story explainer for the time jump, or just ‘Fantastic Beasts flopped, so here’s your Potter ride’ 😅

The Ministry Ride looks awesome, but is that all the attractions in the land? One ride and a show? Wow, I'm even more bummed now.

I had so wished you were wrong about the timeline of the Paris theming - I argued with you a while back that it didn't make sense to even do Paris in any timeline with the British Ministry - it still doesn't - but at least you can say 'I told ya so!'

Thank goodness it was built in epic and not at fear factor . The space was needed for it to be spectacular

So the ride is an elevator that can move in all directions, on a track, and using the Star Tours motion base while seating 10 people in a Tower of Terror type vehicle? That’s insane. I wonder if it’ll have any large drops or things similar to that.

Great Job! Watching this in 2024 planning my 2025 visit to EU all versions except water park. I plan on staying 2 weeks without once stepping on a Disney property , store, or show that promotes Disney in anyway... ( Watch them burn with a stick and marshmallows ). Will probably stay with family for most of the days except maybe 2-5 days in a Sella Nova Resort for Epic days with perks.... And Running ( well walking very fast then) to Potter Land first!

I know it’s a long shot but imagine the elevator starts out as normal but when umbridge breaks out the seats rise up out of the ground like an magical evac system

at the end of the day, i am so glad that harry potter went to universal. even tho i am a huge disney parks fan, i know that they would have never gone to the extent for harry potter that universal has. can’t wait

The main ride storyline makes no sense. Time turners can’t change events so there is no danger behind Umbridge attempting to bring back the reign of Voldemort

It really hit me today how poorly that is conceived to transport time and place. Hit or not, they should have just done Fantastic Beasts

So I guess after all that talk of world-building and immersive theming, Universal decided, "Meh, nobody cared about those Fantastic Beasts movies anyway. Who cares if the timelines don't match up from one end of the park to the other."

This seems like copy pasta from the other land. The announcement was very, "Hey it's like the other lands, but French and bigger!" And then one ride is actually in England. After all the announcements I think Dark Universe is what I'm looking forward too most. Then the expanded Nintendo and How to Train a Dragon. I still have concerns that Epic is too dinning heavy right now, but we'll see.

I'm really looking forward to seeing a detailed update on Dark Universe. This will almost certainly be my favorite land. Our whole family will be visiting in October 2025. Can't wait!

Question: do you think the metrofloo effect will be something guests will have to walk through, like a sheet of fog falling down, or a similar to the movies? Just not sure how they would make the 2nd happen but super excited!!!!
