My sister is a romantic. I am very narrow. I share bras with my 9 year old 😫 but my hips are round and wider than my sisters. Size medium for just my hips but the croch and legs or clothes are always too long and waist always huge on me. I look short and narrow but the hips thing doesnt make sense for any body types. I also cant wear most gamine recomendations. I basically have to modify tr and sg put together for me. I hate it.

First and foremost, wear what you enjoy! Body types are just a tool and if you feel they aren't serving you, don't use them. You're enjoyment of your personal style and lifestyle is the #1 goal always. Regardless of your type, your body sounds beautiful. From what I'm hearing, fit issues may be your biggest struggle. Finding at least one brand that fits well and aligns with your style might be a huge game changer for you 🥰

@alyssarudman thanks for responding! Thank you for saying that ❤️ I do like my body but it sucks feeling stupid in clothes so I really wish I was more obviously one of the types. I think I'm truly a tr but because that's supposed to be rare I feel I must not be. I'm also jealous of all the other types cause I think they have coolness I can't have cause my body demands everything be all delicate and not intense. It seems like it would be fun to be a tr but it just feels the most limiting to me. And I would just "wear what I like" except I can see when it does actually look bad on me haha.

@@letsallgoforawalk I totally get that! I think we all have a bit of FOMO about the other types from time to time. I'm FN and wish I didn't look so ridiculous in delicate things some times. The grass is always greener! But I know you will be able to find a way to bring that coolness into your style while still honoring your unique body. Just keep experimenting!

Have you ever tried to determine your Kibbe (yin/yang) body type? I find that system resonates so much more with my clients than the fruit/shape typing system 🥰

I've probably thought I've been every type at this point 😅 I think I might be between sn and sd. I have long limbs but am not sure if it's enough to give me vertical.

SN and SD are quite different! If you are unsure about vertical then I would expect that SD is unlikely. Whats your height?

@@Jen-sp9yu I've seen SD as short as 5'5", but the shorter you are the less likely you are to be SD. I'd have to see you to know for sure!

Not always true for FG to have petite as in narrowness have a look at liza minnelli

I personally do see petite and narrowness in Liza. I can see what you are getting at, especially in more recent photos and some where her shoulders are emphasized by her clothing. But petite is dictated by the bone structure not so much the flesh. Her bones are quite narrow and if you look at younger photos of her wearing fitted clothing, her shoulders are quite narrow. I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

@alyssarudman kibbe says petite means short bones. That is why he says R is petite. I was surprised you didn't say R is petite because it is very emphasized by kibbe that R is petite. As for me I am struggling so much to see myself objectively. But I narrowed it to TR or SG maybe even pure R. But in some photos i look very tiny petite other photos I look gigantic like an SD you would think I am 5"7 but i am only 5'2. So I am confused tbh

This was a helpful video. I just always imagined I was a dark autumn because I have dark hair and light-ish skin. Similar in colouring and features to Sofia Vergara and she's been said to be a dark autumn. But I'm now secong guessing and think I will go explore sister seasons too. One thing that has always bothered me with self determined dark autumn type is that I don't suit the colour orange; not darker orange not bright nor light.

I would have to see you to tell which body type you are, but try to think of your body as a whole rather than breaking it up into sections when doing your analysis 🥰

@alyssarudman thanks! I have wide shoulders, have a double curve, have a short vertical line, and my body lines tend to be rounder. I don't fit in with the Romantic body type because I don't have narrow or sloped shoulders or a super waspish waist because I'm a bit overweight.

@@minivan1680 if you have wide shoulders that aren't sloped, you probably don't have double-curve because part of double-curve is a relatively rounded shoulder shape (usually paired with moderate or narrow shoulders). I would say you likely should eliminate the Romantic types, but I still wouldn't be able to confirm your type without seeing you.

I love all these descriptions and pieces! But I also find that 99% of the time, I need an open neckline. The 1% other times, I used to like a slim turtleneck (which was cool to see you incorporate). So I’m curious about your view on necklines with soft naturals!

Soft Summer is your Sister Season, so that makes a lot of sense! Plus if you are an Autumn, any Autumn colors will look great on you

Oh, I think you just solved my issues with typing myself. I've always been told I cant be petite, because my head isn't big for my body, so I therefore couldn't be a gamine. I often get typed in the natural family due to sharp shoulders, but have never had issues in fitting my shoulders in clothes. But judging on what you've just said I might actually be a FG. Slight elongation due to my vertical line, but still petite due to the narrowness and delicateness of my bones and the sharper shoulder area. I''ll have to experiment with this type now. . .

Based on everything you said, I think you’re probably right! Sharp shoulders are definitely more of an FG trait than a Natural trait. Let me know how your experimentation goes!! 🥰

Fantastic, thank you for the recommendation! After getting my colour analysis results of True Spring and Kibbe body type of Soft Natural I am literally at the beginning of creating a whole new wardrobe. I am at the ground zero stage - researching and learning what would work for me and watching channels like yours (I adore your Colour Analysis/Kibbe body type videos)! I think when I begin to look at what's out there etc. this app will be perfect to utilize xx

I use a different app too and have for years. It’s a bit of work on the front end, but after I added the clothes I already owned, adding new ones and creating looks has been easy.

What a good tip! I use canva to do this. It is a bit more work, but I can add comments, color palettes and outfit inspo and a lot of other stuff so I have all my wardrobe/fashion things in one place 😊

I am looking forward to another Soft Classic (maybe with a Winter color palette) WORKWEAR capsule wardrobe. Also, I wonder if Soft Classics can get away with wearing maxi or more modest dresses? I am still stuck inbetween soft classic and dramatic classic. I think circles fit to my shoulders. In torso i see more of trapezium towards waist. In hips - not sure. I would say that curves start below the hips (under underwear line). I am lost 😂
