Love your channel so much me and my friends rented our first narrowboat last week and did Bunbury to Llangollen and back. Fun but very tiring trip for newbies. We were surprised by the amount of overgrowness everywhere. Oh, and got absolutely soaked the first day, but then it brightened up. It is not nice being wet on a narrowboat :P

They can be a problem but there is still a big hangover from the pandemic when , of course , nothing was done . I think they are being dealt with and saw a lot of work in the last two weeks cruising

I have questions about automobiles. If I'm not mistaken, you ferry your car to a spot near where you moor. Is that common among continuous cruisers? Is there a specific purpose? What I've imagined is that it simplifies things when you moor far from services that you need. Is it easy to find safe places to leave a vehicle for one or two days? Thanks!

Hi Rob, & Ros, love your vlogs ❤. As canal boat newbies this vlog was very relevant. We actually plan to sell our family house after 40 years of marriage to live full time on a canal boat like you. We are learning as much as possible from your programmes, visited shows and met other boaters. We are very excited about the future and can't wait to get the house on the market and buy a narrow boat. We live not far from Llangollen. Look forward to be able to meet you both in the future. What a dreadful state the towpath was in. I think that towpaths and their upkeep are so important. They provide a safe passage for dog walkers, runners, cyclists, people in wheelchairs or with buggies, not to mention boaters! They enable individuals and families to get out into nature, breath some clean air and to encourage a healthier lifestyle. Come on CRT get them sorted.

I heard you say there wasn’t many moorings on that stretch I can recommend Rode Heath there are some nice walks south of the village towards Scholar Green The pub is decent considering it’s part of the Marstons chain

Can you imagine the chaos if Rosie and Ralph had free rein on the roof length! Loving the colours this week, the richness of the greens and coppery water. It is sad that money, or lack of funding, has meant such partial closures of one side of double locks. Still, great progress is being made opening up new stretches of route and linking canals. Thank you for another special piece of peace and quiet and rural life at a rate so good for the soul.

Your opening about this being the worst Summer. I would nominate 1985. Summer was the 18th of August that year. Other wise it was rainy, wet and cold.

Well done on your ultra. Have you ruled out running the 145 grand Union canal race? Its may bank holiday weekend. It’s a great race. Did it in 2018.

morning/ afternoon Rob & Roz, i've a couple of questions if you don't mind me asking, firstly you move the car to kind of keep up with your journey but how? do you go back and drive it forward of your final night time berth or further advanced but how do you get to and from it? and also about the car, what do you use for an address as i thought you had to put a home address, do you use a friend or family members address? thanks for the vlog, keep it going as they're very enjoyable.

Huge congrats for doing that marathon, Roz, and in that heat, too. What a star. So glad Rosie is on the mend. You had us worried that she was touch and go!
