Is it actually scientifically proven that self-EMDR is effective? I read that there is no real evidence supporting this idea.

Weed killer . My Dad called me a hypochondriac today. My liver and my kidneys aren’t doing well. My Dr told me to stop the ibuprofen and no naids. I caught my Dad using weed killer to kill some grass. I INSTANTLY picked it up. I can’t get the taste out of my mouth. My liver swelled up big time from it and one of my kidneys is aching. My Stepmom put dryer sheets in the wash machine, I didn’t know. I feel like dying. I told her not to do that anymore. And my sister n myself told my Dad , ABSOLUTELY NO WEED KILLERS! I caught him tonight, and he called me a hypochondriac. 😢 I’ve been ill for over two months, from him spilling something in their room. It was so traumatic for me n it is right now. All of this has caused my liver to swell and has damaged my kidneys. I can’t afford my own apartment, because of inflation. So I live with family. And I’ve been battling. My sister is very sympathetic toward me. My liver burns and I’m getting sharp pains in my intestines. I just don’t know how much more I can take

Juicing the Super rFood barley grass, similar to wheatgrass juice has been a tremendous help for me. It hasn't cured me but it helps me recover much quicker from harmful exposures as well as giving me a higher tolerance. I highly, highly recommend this to all my fellow sufferers! It has made a huge difference in my life!

I just got A HUGE dose of poison to my body. I feel like I’m sucking on the shirt that was put in the washer and then the dryer. High toxins was spilt on this shirt, and someone I had told just 2 days ago, chemicals make me ill. Now I don’t know what to do , Because it’s indoors and Now I can’t even wash it out of my clothes, because it’s all in the washer and dryer! I’m eating it. Cause that’s all I taste because it’s throughout the house. My room is clear in the south side! My heart is really hurting. I can’t even wash and try to get this stuff off. I’m so sick . I would kill myself, but I won’t. It gets worse every time I walk out of my bedroom. It’s in my bathroom too. 😭

I love the way you explain things. I don’t want to be too forward but I thought that I would share something that helped me. I heard someone talking, as you do, about meditation from a neuroscience standpoint. It made a lot of sense to me as an anxious person who has disliked meditation, apparently for the following reason. There are people who are mainly interoceptive, very aware of the stuff inside our skin, thought, emotions, breath, heartbeat, physical sensations etc. which can be expressions of anxiety. There are people who are exteroceptive. Mainly noticing things outside of them, they may not know how they are feeling or be aware of their physical or emotional sensations. 40% of our brain is dedicated to exteroception, stuff outside of us, using our eyes. When we close our eyes we shut that off and are much more interoceptive, in our skin and feelings. Anxious people tend to be much more interoceptive. Breath or body based meditation with eyes closed makes us much more inside of us which can put us where our anxiety lives. It's good for exteroceptive people who have trouble being aware of what's going on inside of them. For us inner focused people it can be damaging and uncomfortable, it reinforces our natural bias towards constantly being in our thoughts and bodily sensations. It’s better if we open our eyes, strengthening exteroception, and practice focusing on something outside of us. A flower, a vase, a tree on the horizon, pretty much anything that is not inside of us. The principle of focus and exercise is the same but the location of the focus, in or out us us, is different. Strengthening our ability to get out of our sensations and heads.

Can I benefit from EMDR if I have no memory from my trauma?
@ym.3834

I also became hypersensitive to chemicals, quit my job, lost my savings, and am living a difficult life. There are often debates on social media and Twitter (X), which makes me sad. There are a lot of comments going around saying that ``patients with chemical sensitivities often have mental illnesses.'' I am concerned that prejudice and discrimination will increase. I'm completely exhausted. Hearing the stories of people with chemical sensitivities in the video encouraged me that I am not alone. thank you very much.

Look at B vitamin, especial b5, glutathione, and vitamin C deficiencies. Maybe consider you might have adrenal fatigue. Chemical sensitivity is awful, but I think it can be reversed. I’m suffering through it, but I’m improving every day.😊

Wondering if EMDR is part of what helped you recover from MCS. So on-the-mark for me when you spoke abt anger/frustration/powerlessness/SI re: how to have a life! I'm also wondering how you were able to start a business, having MCS➡ie be organized despite intrusive, unpredictable brain fog, pain, visual changes, unpredictable energy fluctuations➡is your story of your recovery process here somewhere & I'm just not seeing it?➡I would love to hear how you were able to do it, & how that/what was able to help that happen. AND Thank you ever so much for this video & the video on MCS➡I am so happy/thrilled you are getting to be the person you were meant to be🥰for your own sake & b/c it gives me & others lots of HOPE🥳❣

Can’t travel unless I bring my own bedroom ends and towels can’t stay in air B&Bs, because most of them use the plug-in air, fresheners, and cleaners even going to a movie if someone around me is wearing a strong cologne, I have severe symptoms I travel with my own little bottle of hand soap, so I don’t get exposed to commercial soap products it’s very debilitating and isolating And the biggest exposure for me is dish detergent so eating out or at anyone’s house is not an option anymore. 😢

Yes. Many people suffer from multiple chemical sensitivity.. and most of them have munchausen's as well. Munchausen's is where people falsely claim or imagine they have illnesses. Hypochondriac is another word for many people who claim they have multiple chemical sensitivity.

My Mother has EHS and MCS. They should speak with a mental health therapist about your covert venerable narcissism and OCD. Narcissists are extremely toxic people who pretend to be victims and EHS is one very strange form of extreme socially dysfunctional covert narcissism. The solution is overcoming the narcissism and the EHS is just psychosomatic so if you could fix the narcissism the EHS inherently is “fixed” also. You’re welcome. ❤

I too suffer from MCS. At one time, it was so severe, I was bedridden for nine months. After cleaning up the environment around my house (no toxic cleaners, sleeping on an organic cotton mattress, no carpet, just hardwood floors, no fragrance in shampoos, etc) I've finally gotten much better. It took me years, but as long as I'm careful, I can live a fairly normal life. I realize I am very lucky in that I own my home, and I can at least live in it, so many people have a hard time finding a place to live with this disease...my heart goes out to them. Great video.
