The lower you put your turbine.. the more pressure pushes down on it and the stronger it will be. So if you want it to make more power-- Just make your turbine have a longer shaft and put it down as low as it will go. the power is limited by how much water is above it. This is known as "the head". So from the turbine, how many inches of water is ABOVE it to the surface, is what determines it's torque output limit. You can actually use a smaller pipe and it will drain less water-- but if you make the turbine deeper, even the smaller pipe would have more power, since it has more pressure above it.

As an electrical engineer... you have no idea how much I want to piss off my parents by showing up to build this in their back yard lol
