I will never buy these. They are way too expensive. Even me who get VAT off and 50% reduction in price through tax write off will NEVER buy them. They are far too expensive for what they offer.

I've been hearing the 'held back by the OS' argument for some time... but I used to be able to point to things like... apps limited to 5gb of ram usage... no proper external monitor support... as why the OS wasn't up to the productivity demands of real work.. But those have been addressed... so what in iPadOS does everyone see as 'holding back' apps now. Or is it more they want this app or that app on the iPad that currently isn't offered?
@techinrl9869
@techinrl9869 Ай бұрын
The irony of these past criticisms is that it took the presence of the M1 and greater to fix all of those. M1 enabled virtual memory, which allowed apps to now allocate 256GB of RAM. M1’s display controllers now allow two displays. It’s not the OS. It’s that some of their favorite apps either don’t exist on the iPad or don’t have feature parity.

Yea but starfield is not a real space game. Its world is chopped up into a bunch of unconnected tiny pieces. It's a trash space game with a shit story, it's ugly af and buggy. Star Citizen spent most of it's money on tech, not actual game development. RSI made the fatal mistake of thinking they could do it fast, but they did actual make server meshing. Bethesda has not pushed ANY tech boundaries since fsllout 3.

4/12/2024 - BlackMagic just released the NEW DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel at NAB today! B&H has it listed for $495.00 USD Which is cheaper than the Loupedeck CT which is $605 USD. And with the Loupedeck you will have to fight to get it work with Davinci Resolve while the Micro Color Panel is designed to work out of the box! The other problem with the CT is that the 3rd party plug in Will have to be updated for every new version of Davinci Resolve. Blackmagic, at NAB, just Announced Davinci Resolve version 19. It may take a while for small third party plugins to get updated to work with version 19 and beyond. Being that I just received my CT 10 days ago I returned it for a FULL refund and purchased the micro color panel! Hope this helps someone.

The map where you set your course is still broken, delivery mission most of the time are broken and don't work. Items and ship components still disappear and alot of things in the game simply don't work and they could care less.
@EDDocGamer

That’s unfortunate. Just look at the amount of money that was spent in development. I know that they have to keep people employed working, so there’s always going to be new content like ships and what not in order to open peoples wallets. However, core missions, in my opinion should be a higher priority rather than weather, for example.
@jasonsolano8337
@jasonsolano8337 3 ай бұрын
They do care. But that's a matter of personal opinion. I can also acknowledge that if you're not heavy into the game on the surface your comment could be validated. However for those who have been involved and put time in the game. SQ 42 was always the plan to complete first and SC would be after. Main reason for this is because the tech they are trying to achieve would take a lot of time. So they were always transparent that after SQ 42 was complete it would allow them to transfer all those completed features to SC. Recently SQ 42 was announced in the polishing phase and feature complete. At the same time they have successfully tested server meshing. The majority of the devs have now been moved off of SQ 42 to SC. Over the last year things are happening quickly and you can see the speed they are moving has increased. The next update is going to be massive. Take that information and do what you will with it.

@@jasonsolano8337 Sorry your dead wrong and have no idea what your talking about. I was one of the first group of backers of the game and SQ 42 was never ever mentioned. NO SQ 42 was never the plan it was hatched after taking in all the money and realizing it was too big so they went with a small more manageable piece thus SQ 42. They took they money, went another direction and did what they wanted while leaving the actual game that was funded broken on life support until they get SQ 42 done which not one person backed. Did the ship you buy show up in SQ 42? No it doesn't. The money was buying a ship in a persistence universe not SQ 42. Anyone could have made SQ 42 and that's not what the millions went for......So no right now they don't care about their cash cow because if they did they would at least make what they have work as intended.....there is still Flash in the map rofl.....

@@troy5370 Takes 30 sec to Google and find out out how ignorant you are. "In its initial debut on Kickstarter, Star Citizen was marketed as "everything that made Wing Commander and Privateer / Freelancer special." The proposed game was claimed to include a single-player story driven mode called Squadron 42 that would include drop in/drop out co-op, a company-hosted persistent universe mode, a self-hosted, mod friendly multiplayer mode, no subscriptions, and no pay-to-win mechanics."

The biggest obstacle I found playing Star Citizen was the UI. Because it's such a slow paced game having to constantly battle with the systems make it seem a huge time sink. This is coming from a guy who grinded Elite Dangerous to death. I really hope this game turns a corner and succeeds though because the premise is excellent.

The next update that should be released in the next month or so is going to be the biggest one in the games history and is going to make it feel like a new game. One of the biggest changes coming happen to be the UI system. It looks amazing and seems to streamline for easier use. Now the massive changes this updates provide I don't expect to go off without any issues though. Like every game these days there will be problems created I'm sure and will have to be ironed out.

From the beginning it was clear that the expectation implied was that this was a complete game and not a game in development. It may have helped that the two players on stream had a third person walking them through even getting logged in together.
@EDDocGamer
@EDDocGamer 3 ай бұрын
Oh, we knew it was a complete. But, after over 12 years of development, I would’ve assumed that missions would’ve been easier to obtain and perform. But I’m not the developer so I don’t have a right to make those assumptions. We actually just did our next podcast and we talk about some classic MMO games as well as our citizen. And, in the end we did have somebody who got on and helped us through the mission and give us a pointers. We will definitely be playing again because it has so much potential that it’s not easy to give up. I’ll post the podcast link here when it is done being edited.

@@EDDocGamer Development of Star Citizen has been a difficult road, as has been reported. Some setbacks beyond the control of CiG... others their own fault. But It's been on the right track for 3-4 years now and really developing SQ42 and the underlying tech. Now the clock is ticking on investors who will have the ability to start to trigger returns on their investment in the next 16-32 months. That has lit a fire under CiG to get things to a release state. The last few "semi-quaterly patches have really seen progress and 3.23 coming in the next month is going to bring some of the biggest changes and additional content we've ever seen. And lots of QoL changes too. What you experience now will change drastically by the time Invictus arrives in May.

@@EDDocGamer Couple of things to consider when you talk about time frames for the development. A lot of large games have taken 10+ years to complete. A good example would be Cyberpunk. That's coming from a dev studio that has alot more resources. Also SC has been developing to games at the same time. The big thing also is they are developing new tech to achieve server meshing and make this literal universe where large amounts of ayers make up this civilization. They recently have got positive results and had up to 800 players on a single shard with 2 different servers supporting it together to allow that many players. It's easy to look at the time frame and expect more when you don't consider all that's being done.
