A very good assessment of 'Selling England by the Pound' there. You're dead right, Romuald, about the tweak to the instrumentation between 'Foxtrot' and 'Selling England'. A more modern sound, and the transitions between song sections are super smooth. Gorgeous. The remixes of the early albums are, in my opinion, fine alternatives to the originals. Sure, they're different, but it's wonderful to hear much clearer drums and vocals. Love PFM too, although I just acquired a vinyl copy of 'Banco' on my travels to Bavaria. Mostly instrumental, and definitely influenced by PFM and ELP, it's definitely got that Italian Prog sound. Nice to see Robert Wyatt getting a mention. Although his early albums are considered his best, his later (and more explicitly jazz-influenced) albums are also great.

Hey Harris, nice to see you over here. I'm glad you enjoyed watching my yesterday's stream as this one was completely improvised. Well, I was able to rely on a wonderful panel of vc friends which has made the show a great success. And yeah, I tried to do something a little bit different on the last two episodes I did host, but the spirit and intent of my channel of bringing vc people/music enthusiasts together thus creating connections between them was there as usual. Thanks for stopping by and for the nice things you said, Cheers, FVA

Many stuff I don't know around here ! And some I've got, in CD. 1:07:37 Got it in vinyl! This album "Obsolete" was banned for a while because it was recorded under acid. The cover is textured, embossed. 1:58:40 Hackett's best record was his first one. Got the first french press. Same for "Jester" from Machiavel (all that Stunty hates and all I like). Watched you in replay, guys, but I find funny (and maybe ridiculous?) to speak in english when everyone is french, even your watchers! XXX

@frenchvinyladdict 11 күн бұрын
Thank you Filo. You're right, the watchers were for many French-speaking people during this live stream, though the vast majority of my subscribers are English-speaking persons. That is also one of the reasons why Stunty and myself did start ''Des skeuds et du pif'' channel in order to separate or set apart French-language content from English. But now, something interesting happens, the French watch our channels in English, and conversely some Anglophones follow our weekly live streams in French! Some of them even asked for subtitles lol I guess, trying to please everyone is not an easy thing.

T'as reçu de belles pièces. Un must. Beau paquet que t'as reçu 👍
