Krita is a good free alternative to PS, though you can admittedly make that type of gradient with almost every program these days.

My only issue with this is that with the way the color is on things it looks shaded. So the top of the tree appears "lit" when it should be shaded. So lighting effects may end up looking weird.

I think you could use a gradient that doesn't change the value but does change the saturation to give some texture depth and not affect value changes from lighting.

Capitalists just being capitalists. They don’t give a fuck about their customers, nor about their reputation. The only thing that counts: to max-out their income. And here, they used the good old technique of « I make a completely weird first step that will freak everybody out, so that my second step - the one that I really intended to do from the beginning - will appear reasonable and acceptable, while it is not. » And that’s how finally everybody accepts the idea of a small and conditional installation fee (instead of the first unconditional one which made everybody freak out), which nobody would have accepted under normal circumstances.

On the long run in free market such behavior will not be tolerated by users (as we saw with unity case) and companies either change or go bankrupt. As long as the state does not intervene

Every time i download a image off sketchfab and import it into blender it just losses the color texture which pisses me off. Tried different things and still wont change that.

because its easier than micromanaging tens of materials, i tried both methods and color palette like on video is faster and easier for me, both ways are valid tho

Nice work! I suggest you do the same video with more detail about the process, there are some steps that you pass extremely fast. Don´t focus in the time, focus in the final result and try to do something useful for your audience. Good luck!
