Appreciate the review. How is road into the campsite? I heard it's very narrow.
@stirlingadventures9068 күн бұрын
Thanks for the positive vibes! Yes, the road is a bit narrow as you turn off the main road toward the campground but we tow a 24’ trailer and had no problem. You can see ahead and if no one is coming you can take up the road during turns. We went during the week and it was completely clear.

Hi, how long is the walk from campground to June lake?
@stirlingadventures906Ай бұрын
It was about 10 minutes. Longer if you’re in the upper campground. Doable but if you’re carrying lots of things, it might be hard. We loved the beach at June Lake. Such stunning views! Have fun!

We try to go to the Sun Outdoors resort in Paso Robles once a year. Always watching for the discounts. Our favorite spots are the ones in the lower area too. It's so quiet there. If you ever get to Cambria, check out Robins for their Salmon Bisque.

Love it. About 40 years ago, I saw a bicycle tourist near the top with flip flops on. I never forgot it. Two years ago, I did it touring with shoes of course. I just kept the gear low and went slow. If you think about it ten years from now, your two faces will have the same smile as the beginning of your video. Thanks.

I’ll be staying at LOTS’s 5/9/24 thru 5/23. I’ve never stayed at this park and I definitely want cell phone service. If you don’t mind could you tell me your site # you stayed at during your visit. I can’t wait to visit and explore the old towns around there; and 1849 brewery. I use assistive equipment to help me get around so unfortunately I cannot go to the mine. But that and the closed sane asylum looked like great adventures. Thanks for sharing your stay. I’m looking g forward to mine. Happy Trails to you.

I'd love to take the family riding on that bike trail at twin lakes. Do you recommend starting the bike ride at twin lakes up to horse shoe lake? We are not hard core bike riders.
@stirlingadventures9064 ай бұрын
I don't remember there being a shoulder so if you're comfortable riding in the street with cars, it's doable. I don't remember there being much traffic and the cars were respectful. The views are amazing from the bike, especially heading back to twin lakes.

Gorgeous. We are camping there on memorial day weekend. Is that trail kid friendly?
@stirlingadventures9064 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you! It's a beautiful place for sure! That trail is pretty much uphill for a couple miles so not sure if your kiddos are into that! I guess it depends on their tolerance for uphill climbs. The views are amazing and the waterfall is stunning. Hope you can get out there!

Going on this cruise in June,how was the food on this ship?
@stirlingadventures9064 ай бұрын
Hi! Hard to say because food is so subjective. There was some food that was really good and others that were just ok. We enjoyed the dining halls and being served and the ability to select many things from the menu because the portions are small enough. The buffet was just ok. You could put together a decent salad most times. The one thing I wish I would have done was bring some Starbucks instant VIA coffee...the coffee was not great and I love coffee! We liked the breakfast sandwiches that could be delivered in the am or ordered at the desert/breakfast bar downstairs (I can't remember what it was called...maybe international cafe?). Have fun and I hope you have great weather!

Are you allowed to use a generator at this campground? We are heading up soon. Also can we fill up water jugs and transfer it to our camper since there’s no hookup? I can’t find info on this anywhere
@christinestirling61105 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes for both questions. They have quiet hours, which you’ll find out when you check in but otherwise we heard generators. And, each camping loop has water and you can pull up and fill up before parking. And, fill jugs if you need more. Have fun!

We got a DJI 3 and are loving it! The only thing it doesn't have, that we would have liked, is the "follow" feature where you can set it to follow a target (such as a bike). That would be really useful! Other than that, it's been great. Mike's learning to fly it and it seems pretty user friendly!

Hello. My wife and I love your videos. We own a Rockwood 2516S (couples travel trailer). We live in SF Bay Area (East Bay). We are wondering how you find so many bicycle trails (without cars). Are you using a special app? We have All Trails, but this is really not meant for bicyclist. My wife is a RN, and she adamantly refuses to ride along cars. Thank you.
@stirlingadventures9068 ай бұрын
Thanks for following along! We use the website "Ride with GPS" to scout out rides when we travel. I agree, it is hard to find bike paths away from cars but they are out there! We sometimes stumble upon them by looking at maps apps if they're marked. We also love riding old train railways that have been converted to multi use paths. We've found those in places like Klamath Falls and by the Hoover Dam. We also use Trip Advisor and have found bike paths that way like the Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose. And, we have All Trails too and there's a filter for cycling....I agree, it's not the best. Happy Traveling!
