I’m interested in why you didn’t opt for the Forbidden Armor set for the Destroyer, since its dust devil scales with both summon and magical damage, but i guess that might be the answer itself: it can technically count as magical. Now i played a lot of Dead Cells, and my argument for that would stem from that game: a weapon that can benefit from 2 stats doesn’t have to, like the Sinew Slicer or the Valmont Whip.

you know, there's another cheese for the old ones army is making a wall of hoiks that would repel them back and using block swap, you swap the solid hoiks into platforms. it would still repel them back but their ai think it isnt a solid block so their gimmick where they can go thru blocks doesn't work. they cant reach the crystal except for the flying enemies and skeletons that the dark mage spawns.
