Something that would “help” our financial area is for some regular shoppers to stop with the “flea market” attitude. Every day I get hit up with “can I get a discount?” A big percentage of our customers take advantage of our REWARDS program by signing up with a 2nd, a 3rd or a 4th sign up by using a different email or phone number JUST to get our Welcome to Big Lots 15% off coupon. It’s a fraudulent way to save money but it ultimately increases our bottom line. To those shoppers I say “ stop cheating” and shop by the rules.

Home Depot has 50% off sales in the spring and fall on evergreens, roses and other perennials. Last week I purchased a limelight STANDARD Hydrangea for under $40. Their competitor had the same tree for $139. It depends on the store and where you live to get the sales. So yes, HD does have sales. Now clearance racks? Not so much. 🙂
