How much fuel can you carry? I have a 2013jku with the 3.6 penstar. Did a Namibia trip now in July and avg around 8km/L with rooftop tent and gear. Will like to extend my range if possible Thanks #JeepinAfrica❤
@ajeepinafrica8060

I have a long range tank in the car which give me 140 litres and then 2 jerrycans which is 180 litres. That’s for big remote trips. I have the 3.8 litre motor but average about around 7/6.5 km/l no head wind per trip so not to bad. I’ve just regeared to 5.38 which will help.

Hi there, what beautiful scenery. Do you often do wild camping / overland trips? I am busy getting a small Hyundai Getz set up for part time camping. my family think I am nuts to do this, but hey, I don't want to be too busy making a living and then forget to live. I might film it and start a 2nd channel dedicated purely to travels. I will just see how things go. Safe Travels

Drove the trail with two Jimny's on the 01st Feb this year (2022) Also had to cut back bush at one section. Not too hectic. Ground clearance of 210mm made us very wary going down Ribellie. Was fantastic!! My wife downed a bottle of wine in 15 minutes when we made it back to Clarence!! Going back to do it again to see if lessons learned will make it easier!
