I'm not even an amateur climber, but I enjoy the sport. The part that I don't enjoy, though, is the fact that all the beginner tracks at the local climbing gym are designed for children, which doesn't bode well for my almost 6ft tall frame. I either try my best to hang on to the first grip with my knees bumping into my chin, or I fall from the more advanced tracks

Emile is taller, so he can reach it like that. For her that method wasn't possible by looking ay how stretched he is in that position (look at the right leg/foot)

Someone else commented this a couple days ago too. lol It's kind of hard to tell in the angle the video is taking from, but it looks like it could possibly be a dab or possibly just a toe against the wall right above and to the left of the hold. It looks like most of the force would be in the other foot and just a bit of toe pressure against the wall there...

I do agree it looks soft but my gym has those holds too and my teensy 5’5 teenage hands cannot hold on to those slopers the way she can. I think her grip strength just makes it look easier
