Hi, I made a mistake and filled the substrate with a lot of water and then threw the seeds in. Can this cause them to rot?

Is ick-X safe for yo yo loches? Someone said it wasn't safe unless you only use half a dose? I already put a capful in 10 gallons and now I'm worried about them. It's a quarantine tank and I was going to let it sit for a week without a water change. Should I be doing a 50% water change today or have you used it safely with loaches?

I was thinking about buying these but still undecided. My questions are do they spread, do they stay the 1/4-3/8" tall or grow taller taking over the tank? I'm using peat moss as my base layer topped with sand. Hopefully this will work and it won't take better part of a month before I can add my fish

I think you should have emphasised the use of PPE with peroxide. Even a tiny droplet can cause a nasty burn, and a miniscule airborne droplet landing in the eye is horrendous. I started using peroxide in 1972 to sterilise nets, gravel and to extract fossils, and I can testify to the results of these types of random events. Wearing latex or nitrile disposable gloves and a basic visor may sound somewhat OTT but these simple precautions can save you a visit to the ER and a week off work. BTW, if you are going to talk chemistry, the hydrogen peroxide molecule is composed of two ions of hydrogen and two ions of oxygen. The H2O2 molecule is unstable and readily releases its oxygen ions when it contacts organic matter, stripping electrons in the process. The liberated oxygen ions re-combine to form diatomic oxygen molecules and form the bubbles that can be seen. You can use H2O2 to disinfect fish eggs, but take care using it in tanks where fry are present.

I tried this method but at first the seeds were molded and after 2 - 3 weeks after the seeds germinate, the algae starts to fill in the container and the mold is gone. How do I prevent this from happening

I've just brought home two of these. The bigger one keeps chasing the slightly smaller one and this behaviour is stressing the other fish in the tank. Apparently you should only keep one in a tank? I don't know what to do now.

Wow, it’s so interesting to see the aquariums under a microscope & all of the tiny organisms consuming the diatoms! 😱 I’ve definitely spotted very tiny worms on my aquarium glass. The tank has been running for a while so I’m curious to know what else is in there

Happier?...really? Just because something is bigger doesn't mean it's happier, 'happy is an emotion and lacking a central nervous system, sensory neurons and receptors, plants cannot perceive sensory stimuli. Besides, I prefer the slower growth, much less work trimming it and quite frankly, the smaller ones, I mean the 'sadder' ones (hahaha) look more uniform in size and shape.

Hi, i need some help here, please help me? My steps: 1. I added the aqua soil 2. I added water to the level slightly lower than the aqua soil level 3. I added the seeds, covered the glass vase with ziplock bag 4. I place the glass vase in a corner of my room, with minimal lightings Today is the second day, my plan was to give it 10 hours of LED lightings starting tomorrow, but now i noticed there are white cotton looking kind of molds growing around the seeds. Is that normal? What should i do? Please help me?

I use Lighting Defuser to protect the bottom of the aquarium from rocks that can crack the bottom of the tank. It is made of plastic, so it acts like a layer of protection.
