You'd better hope that you don't get your wish that Tesla "fixes" their trip planning software to send everyone to clog up the V3s when only enthusiasts care about the 3-5 minute difference in charging time. And no, the Trip Planner software should not be different just because he's in a Cybertruck.

32:20 I was once going down that mountain on I-8, heading into El Centro, and yikes! Very windy! I was in the far right lane, and a wind gust hit so strong it pushed me into the left lane, then into the shoulder. So after that I slowed down from 55, to about 40. That's one of the only downsides of my Mitsubishi Mirage, wind pushes it easy.

Wow! Only 40 hours? That's very impressive! If I drove my gas car, I wouldn't be there for about 47 hours, if I averaged 55 MPH. I'd cruise at 60, and with stops the average would likely sit around 55. But if it wasn't a race, I'd be on the side roads cruising at 55, averaging around 50 MPH.

I honestly think those chargers that quickly derate to roughly 35kW had their handles/cables wrapped with wet towels before. Causing damage to them. PLEASE DON'T CIRCUMNAVIGATE SAFETY DEVICES WHEN YOU ARE DEALING WITH 250 KILOWATTS OF POWER!

My guess is to why the software is routing you to 150kw Chargers for the health of the battery. Charging at 150 KW versus 250 KW is less stressful on the battery pack.

I like electric, but all the EV's are very big. Only one that is nice sized is the Chevy Bolt, but they stopped making it or something. Some maybe the Nissan Leaf. It sounds fun to have electric!! Downside is it costs more to drive than my gas car.

Mesquite also has an EA station that's a lot more convenient than at least one of the Superchargers (the one at the Casino). Overall, outside of Barstow and Vegas, most of chargers are fairly convenient to access from the freeway.
