Well, i just found out that they are releasing the long awaited gundam seed movie in January 2024. Never thought the day would actually come, especially since Chiaki Morosawa passed away in 2016. Although i am pleasantly surprised at the news, I'm not entirely sure how they can bring the seed saga to a satisfying close after eveything they did wrong with the plot and characters in gundam seed destiny, especially after a hiatus lasting about two decades.

Yeah, the new dub doesn't even touch this version at all. Redubbing Escaflowne felt like a crime against nature.

Underrated show!!

So I remember watching this years ago, and the main thing I remember is getting to the end of the series and turning to ask my brother "Okay, but where did the robot come from?" I legit don't know if they ever explained it. Dude finds it in the ocean or something and everybody's just like 'yeah, that's a totally normal place to find a powerful mech robot thing' and I thought it would be explained what it's deal was but don't think they ever did. If anybody remembers this series better or has seen it more recently, would LOVE to know if I just missed that explanation. Otherwise it's just one of those 'are you fucking kidding me' moments 😓

This 15 year old trailer gave me a better impression of what to expect from this series than the 16 second one Funimation did. Might look into this, especially since it looks unique. There's something about older series that felt more creative than what comes out nowadays.

i didn't though i would come here so much time after this came out, but i want to see the story continue, like pan-taron didn't even won the battle against the bad guys or becoming friend with them, and he didn't found his father, maybe the story could continue on pan-taron going in a trip to find his father ? i would like to see that. this show feels incomplete and it makes me a little sad that the story i watched as a kid didn't even finished its story. anyway the nostalgie came when i saw this trailer so much years later
