Mines 1000% HDMI but the issue is it keeps my screen black semi permanently. It came back on and as soon as I hooked up a HDMI it shuts off the screen. Even after unplugging it or waiting or anything or changing channel don't matter. Audio is on screen is black and will stay that way for a week probably. And I have no solution. Tried resetting unplugging every trick in the book. And nothing speeds it up. I don't get it at all. Same cord works fine with other tvs.

Welp, unfortunately I think I need to reinstall windows. However, I make music and I can't lose any of my files as they belong to clients. Would a viable solution to this be to install windows on an entirely different ssd, install that and remove my old one, and turn the old one into an external drive?

You forgot several other things to check. Turn on or off Intel RAID/AHCI. Check your boot order. Turn off any advanced settings and a few other things to go over...

So in my case, the computer does turn on; when I press the power button, it (power button) lights up and then goes off and the PC doesn't boot at all. I have taken out the RAM, battery, HDD, plugged and unplugged the charger, did static dumping ... And still it doesn't come on. And in all of that, the laptop screen didn't come on at all. Can you help?

What do you mean, it didnt work? Are you trying to install a key you purchased as a replacement or are you trying to put back on a key that fell off?

Plrase help 😔🙏🏽After I click Trouble shoot it only gives me two options 1) UEFI Firmware Settings, or 2) Start up Settings. There is nothing that says Reset this PC under either. This is a HP Elitebook 840 G1.

My p53 is all black, no light on the power button or anywhere else. I think the next step for me may be a deeper dive. Does any SMCs ever go on these? Should i check with a thermal camera? Lenovo gave me an offer for a new motherboard after i did remote troubleshooting with them..

If, after trying all the steps seen here multiple times, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j6iYprl5zsrJd3k.html & kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ftaRldmjs8fTlIk.html. You can also try replacing other components like your Power Button to see if that is the route cause. If none of those are the issue, you would then be left with a motherboard replacement. Let me know if you would like help with any of that or with finding a motherboard. Sry it wasnt something easier :(
