Got their fundamentals down so 50 years later, still sounds great!

This just saddens me. A lounge act version of a great song. Brian Wilson was still a few years from being back to active music making in 1992, but have to wonder what he might have done with this song. Just take a listen to the Cotton Fields (The Cotton Song) and Sloop John B covers for a moment to hear what a soggy mess this is in comparison without Brian producing.

Nobody beats Beach Boy harmonies,…nobody.

Look at the most influential bands (BB's, Beatles, Eagles)--they made their fame on harmony--they sing like angels, all of em. No gimmicks needed.
