I absolutely LOVE your new planning pages! Let me know if you decide to sell that style that’s customizable so we could change the names. I love the weekly setup. I hope you have the best year and I can’t wait for the next episodes. ❤️

Ok! I can always add these pages to my homeschool planning page bundle and you can customize them from there. I'll work on that this week. 💕

I would love to see how you homeschool your older children! My upcoming 8th grader also has autism so she’s delayed but probably 4th-5th grade levelish. I also have an upcoming 5th grader, 2nd grader, and Kindergartner! I’m not sure if you remember but Serenity is turning 4 and she has a genetic disorder along with Spina Bifida so she will just be learning life skills as best she can. My oldest 3 have already graduated! 😮 It goes so fast!

Hi friend!! Yes, I do remember! It is so good to hear from you. ❤ It is so crazy to have some of our children graduate isn't it?!!?! Life changes so fast! So do you work one on one with your daughter who has autism? My son just turned 7 and he is really smart - he knows & understands a lot but has a very hard time communicating. And yes, I remember you have a 4 yr old - my youngest is about to turn 4 in August. 😊. How is your daughter doing with her special needs? So thankful God gives us the strength & grace to parent these special children.

@@funhandsonlearning yes life passes in a blink! Yes I work with her one on one. She is so smart when it comes to some things and she’s pretty good at life skills and communication, but writing and math are a struggle. I’ve learned to help her by using speak to text and using a calculator. Your phonics is actually what taught her to read and spell! Communication is a hard one. Serenity is non verbal and it’s so hard. We’re working with her speech therapist to use communication devices to help her because she really can’t say many words. She mainly uses sounds and some sounds we can understand and some we can’t and she gets very frustrated. What I’ve learned throughout the years is just work with them at their level and progress is progress. Adaley is still learning basic math but that’s okay. She can read pretty well and actually has great comprehension skills so I feel like that’s her strong suit. She loves to sing and I teach her life skills to help her. I honestly don’t think she could ever live by herself and that’s okay too because neither will Serenity. God is good though and he gives us these special babies for a reason. ❤️

Oh it is so good to catch back up with you. I feel the same way about my two boys with special needs. I don't think Seth will ever be able to live on his own, and possibly not Paul either...but I'm praying that maybe they could live together and help each other. Wouldn't that be amazing? It warms my heart to hear that my phonics curriculum helped her learn to read! It's what I used with Seth too! He can read very simple books and he's making progress all the time! Paul knows all the school "things" (reading, simple math, etc) but really struggles talking. He can talk - but is only up to about 3-4 words at a time. But every day is new - and every day I see more of God's hand in his progress. I also am filled with joy as I see my other children help their special needs brothers. It's teaching them compassion. Well, I'm so blessed to know you & share experiences with you! God bless as you continue your journey with those kiddos. From one mom of 8 to another ❤

@@funhandsonlearning yes I agree! It would be great to catch up more often! Yes we’re hopeful as we get older Adaley’s older siblings will help take care of her and I’m sure they will. They love these sweet girls so much! That’s so awesome that they help him! It makes my heart so happy! Yes I’m so thankful for you and for all you do! I pray you have an absolutely amazing year! ❤️

Great ideas! Thank you. I've been homeschooling for 12 years, and have been in a bit of a rut the last while. I had almost lost my passion for early learning. But it's coming back, and I'm excited to start doing more fun schooling with my youngest babes. Great video. Keep up the good work! Love from Nova Scotia, Canada.

Wow, this is so great to hear! We've been homeschooling for 10+ years and I know what you mean. It is easy to get stuck in a rut and just want to "get through it". But thankfully God gives us grace to push on...and when we do, sometimes our love for it comes flooding back!

Hi! I just found your channel and really like the way you homeschool. I was an Early Elementary teacher too and am contemplating homeschooling my grandkids. Do you use purchased curriculums for your Kinder and older kids? I see you have some Abeka resources and wondered if you used that one. Thanks for sharing all your resources!

Hi! Thanks for watching my videos. Once my kids get into about 3rd grade we mostly use Abeka. Before that, I use my curriculum for the most part (along with workbooks from other sources or abeka). I hope this helps!
