It’s been 20 years I believe since the finale episode. Jin probably went back to that woman who lived in the nunnery. They started a family and Jin probably opened his own dojo. Fuu probably worked for a bit so she have enough money to continue her travels with MoMo. Maybe she met a guy too. Mugan probably found himself in some trouble but got out of it with the help of that woman who was an officer. He probably stayed with her for a bit but still leaves out to travel because he is a wanderer but he always returns back to her. Idk just something I think about from time to time.

This ending is so sad but yet happy perfect series.

I don't like to watch this ending because it always leaves me so sentimental and melancholic. The overall vibe of the anime makes me believe that those three will never really cross paths again for the rest of their lives. And they would be somewhat okay with that. It's such a sad yet perfect ending.

Watched it long time ago and still can't comprehend how amazing this anime is. The perfection in everything: silly but nice jokes, style, the vibe it gives you, the story, message and of course the music as a chef's kiss. I think there's no such good series as these ones no more sadly

It's my favorite anime but I'm glad they didn't make a second season. The ending was perfect, we didn't need more.

It took me so long to realise that the creepy looking bird at the end is a refrence to when Mugen almost died and came back to life and those creepy looking people came out. Its as if they were watching him to make sure he changed his course in life and when they see that Mugan moved on in life and seems happier now, the bird flew away.

Batmann had a similar opening i remember
