@@SC7SPORTS You can promise anything, but the fact is that if the situations inside the club (which we don't clearly know) i.e financial, animosities, cooperation, team spirit and sporting plan etc. are not right you have to make changes, even if that means breaking a promise, the club comes above every person in it. The fact is we don't know and probably won't for a very long time, what did Laporta said to Xavi, to make him stay and most of all when he sacked him, we don't know if Xavi was briefed on the situation and the decision and if he accepted, or if it indeed was out of the blue or if there was a undisclosed agreement between him and Laporta in respects of finding another coach, maybe Xavi stayed with the condition that when they found the right man for the job he would leave, as he clearly wanted to do early in the year, and it was reported Barça did approach Hansi Flick earlier but he initially dismissed them. Sadly Barcelona's presidents have to start taking notes on how Florentino runs Real Madrid, no legend, manager or player is bigger than the club, and that was shown with Cristiano and Ancelotti's first tenure.
