My Mom met my Dad in Bungay during the war. She and her two sisters worked in a bakery in the center of the town that belonged to her uncle. I believe it’s a magical place because of the many stories she told me about Bungay and growing up there.

I have been here like 100 times. Kinda feels like a home for me.

Schöner Überblick, nur schade, daß die Namen der Künstler außen vor blieben. Desweiteren ist es widerlich diese degenerierten Männerchen in kurzen Hosen mit ansehen zu müssen, die dort in Klamotten herumlaufen, die auf dem Spiel- oder Sportplatz besser aufgehoben werden. Ich werde nie begreifen, wie man Leute in solch beleidigender Kleidung in Museen, Theater oder Opernhäuser lassen kann. Das anständige Publikum ekelt sich nur.

Unlike the others, from other allied nations, which celebrated victories over the Germans, this one depicted the nation mourning its fallen. He was so impressed by it, that during the entirety of the war, he had an elite force stationed there, whose sole job was to protect it, to ensure it wasn't accidentally or maliciously destroyed by other German commanders.
