I never heard the words climate change or climate emergency on this. Never even said 'The Greenhouse Effect'.

I wuz there, some time at'fer, when Cruise Command Vehicle was coming in.. Is still USAF airborne base.. A14 was built, for Cruise dispersion.. Do they not have them there ? Eirene.. Peace .. Peace Chapel .. built from old WW II runway stone.. destroyed in the heseltine incursion.. Any film, docu evidence of rainbow fields on the road, when kicked off, that led into the peace convoy? :)

When I was there my Mum visited at the same time as the DHSS man. We all sat on chairs outside my little tent and officially recorded the tent as my abode.

BBC Election Call 1987 was hosted by Sir Robin day and featured co Chairs Jo Robins and Jean Lambert. It was an hour of live TV to which the public telephoned with questions. I would love to see it again.

I think 87 was the last Glastonbury in its original format. No Glastonbury in 88 and then ecstasy/ house music hit U.K. and everything changed.

I have fond memories of the Molesworth camp, including an overnight hike back to Bedford with a contingent from Lincoln that was part of a nationwide peace march. That leg was done overnight due to one member suffering sun stroke.

A rather hazy video, but appropriate as my memories of the festival at that time were hazed thanks to the ingestion of 3 microdots. Its nice to see some of what I missed.

can a KZfaq be made of the Green Party's election call program from the 1987 election
@rogerco357
@rogerco357 4 жыл бұрын
So if not the 1987 Election Broadcast shown above, what was the "election call program"? More details please.
@matsand4719
@matsand4719 4 жыл бұрын
@@rogerco357 I wouldnt need to ask if it was the above. Election Call was the BBC1 phone in programme live on weekday mornings during the election campaign. Each featured a frontline politician such as someone on the front bench. The Green Party was granted one of these programmes which then featured two co-chairs

Wow! I was there. This was my first experience of England after having arrived the day before. I came there straight away from London with some friends and virtually no gear except a sleeping bag. I didn't see myself, but I think that I saw the teepee that I stayed in. I was hoping to see the Tor on the hill or the sweat lodge, where I was neatly suffocated before being doused with ice cold water. I also remember the crazy loos. I was also stopped by the police, but put on my best exaggerated Yank accent and played the lost tourist before hitch hiking back to London. Thanks for the memories.
