You are right, it’s a bush buggy. But Spare units are universal and can be used for different purposes. This Bush Buggy is being assigned as the Boat Tow for station 21 because it has the ability to tow the boy trailer.

They’re only rare within city of Calgary limits. These are mainly seen east of Calgary in Scrathcona and neighbouring towns. Inter-County ambulances transport patients to Foothills Medical Center for anything requiring advanced medical technology. T’sutina, Lethbridge, Associated and even BCAS drive into Calgary.

FRPs (Fire Response Support) specialize in all technical fields of fire fighting such as Technical Rescue, Hazmat, Aquatics and Bomb/Anti Terrorism. They’re also on standby for the well-being of fire fighters and civilians on scene. However they are NOT permitted to transport patients.
