Committed 2 wheel enthusiasts (like me) may ask: why the steering wheel?

Fr tho how repairable is this thing going to be? How stress tested are those gyros? If one fails can the other compensate until repair? Can users repair their own vehicles?

I saw this project back in uni years ago. At the time I was so impressed and hyped that I made a model of this bike for my thesis. Surprised to see that it still is a work in progress

An ultra precise high speed mechanism is much more expensive than simply having two front wheels and people who need to buy anything beyond a single bag of light groceries might enjoy a vehicle with more width and length. Nothing massive. Just enough wider to be stable without needing to tilt like a motorcycle and long enough for storage behind the front seat or seats. Maybe like 2 feet minimum in both directions.

@litmotorsofficial I just read the blog update - Glad Mr. Kim manged to recover, it sounded bad. I'm assuming it wasn't on one of these bikes, right? This is still probably the best new design of motorcyle I'd be very happy to be going out on. Very Akira-esque. Would love to see it in production and available in Europe. Good luck, guys!

When "engine" technology that makes 200miles per gallon are confiscated by governements... What do it says about "green energy and programs"? It's all BS.

Very exciting! You should update the collision cgi video though as a Nissan leaf wouldn’t be my biggest concern for something hitting me on the road. More worried about those ever bloated SUVs that can’t see ahead of their grill.

60 year old Uk motorcyclist here. I had a BMW C1 back in the day, cool idea but underpowered and difficult to handle. Your enclosed car type prototype is what I have been waiting for forever, if it has decent range, removable rechargeable batteries (no on road charging here) and 60 mph speed.

Curious to see what this does when pitching up or down or a bump or a hill. I'm not a gyro-scientist (gyrologist?), but I've known gyroscopes to do all kinds of wacky moves when tilting. Maybe the counter rotation fixes this.

I remember back in 1998 watching a tv show and they showed a vehicle 90% exactly like this that had trainer wheels that popped down.

yep. its nothing new... ever seen one on the road? at a dealership? no... here at least, in 98, we didnt have mandatory airbags or such like... these days? totally different. being a two wheeler, but enclosed... starts raising whole legislation issues... does that need helmets? seatbelts? what type of license? as a homebuild, a kit... possible. hoops to jump through, but possible. as a production model, dealerships, servicing, support? nah.

Immediate thought: How capable are the gyros of counteracting slipping on ice, aqua planning and wet leaves in curves? It seems likely, drivers of this vehicle wouldn't have the mindset and training bikers have. So the gyros would be their only "defense". All the best for your amazing project! 🤗

The bit that will irritate me about this is that everywhere you park, some idiot will walk up, and kick or push it to see if it stays upright, scuffing your bodywork.
@slippinggnome21 күн бұрын
"There's nothing like this in the world" really? I'm pretty sure we had these in the 80s and 90s. Is this like when Elon Musk invents something? You know, old stuff just rebranded and then you tell everyone it's the first of its kind and nobody has ever thought of it before?

Err. I love it, but let's split hairs; the gyros are not "powered by AI". They might be controlled by AI, but they're more probably powered by a the main battery. Just checking. I hope that you make it.

I ride a motorcycle, as a biker I never felt weightlessness leaning into a turn. This is not close to being a motorcycle, it's lean will be restricted, it has a steering wheel, not air, can do 186 mph off the showroom floor, or go off road. It's a two wheel vehicle, and counter steered like all two wheel vehicle is as close as it gets to being a motorcycle.
