Billy doesn't put out material that is "atrocious." "Empires" and "Beguiled" are two of the best songs they have done in a decade. You always have the option to not listen, not post and spare the rest of us your negativity.

@@dshanemerrill I'm afraid it's constructive criticism that gets us to the top. Butch Vig and Flood helped get those 90s albums where they needed to be, but as we all know Billy hasn't had an honest critic alongside him for a long time. I'm free to voice my opinion as are you. Empires is fantastic live, but there are 33 songs and as a whole body of work... well you now know what I think of it and trust me I fully exercise my right not to listen. As for "sparing the world my negativity"... My post literally begins as a big positive about how great Billy's voice is sounding here, my point being that wouldn't it be great to capture that energy and emotion on a new record, and suggesting Mr. Brendan O Brien as someone who is highly skilled at capturing the real sound of a band as opposed to, in my view, the sterile production of all post-Zeitgeist releases. Zeitgeist at least did capture great performances thanks to Roy Baker but was mixed badly. So I'm sorry I shot down your hero... well I actually didn't shoot him down, I complemented his performance and suggested a way to capture the band in a way that connects more with listeners like me, and I know I'm not alone in thinking like that, thanks to freedom of speech!
