Have you tried using reusable sandwich/ziplock bags to store your open sugar paste as an alternativeto the plastic bags? They come in loads of sizes and work well.

Hi Rob, So I ordered the 7" and tried at weekend and I'm embarrassed to say was EPIC fail :-((. 2 things I screwed up, 1st one was simple syrup (or too much of of), this made picking up cake layers with forks v difficult as too soft. 2nd was milk chocolate ganache was too thin, result was it pooled in bottom so wasn't rising up plastic as it was supposed too and next day still hadn't set properly still slightly runny. Sooooo was totally disappointed but hey ho.....not first cake disaster, so will be dusting myself off with powder sugar and back on it at weekend lol xxxx
