okay so basically i had this exact problem but it was an egr o ring. the one where it goes into the intake. do yourself a favor and just rip the whole system out, trick the computer by running egr vac line to ref on dpfe sensor. seal up intake hole with plug and rtv and seal exhaust hole with jb weld, or just bend the pipe over so it doesn't shoot exhaust.

Thank you. This is the best video out on KZfaq right now. I have a 2004 DOHC Taurus and a 2007 Ford Taurus. So I appreciate your time and effort and hopefully others watch your excellent video even though you had some bad luck with cameras.

I've been working on machinery of all types for over 50 years. Some of it considered very complicated. These new vehicles are getting unnecessarily complicated and difficult to wok on. The Taurus especially the DOHC is included. Thanks for your instructions.

Great basic video. As for the oil question. Many ways to add the oil everyone. Most charges have it however a new compressor do not need it. They come oiled 💯

Im trying to learn something here. The a/c sealed system had been opened up at the compressor. Why would you charge the system without pulling a vacuum on the system? .... Just asking.

@@WayneBarronsVlog Ok .... But the system had everything gone out of it except one thing .... Air from the atmosphere .... When the compressor was removed. .... Thanks for replying .... Just my 2 cents.

My entire system needs to be replaced now. It is a nightmare. I should have bought it two years ago, and it would be all good now. It is double the price for everything now due to this sorry inflation we are going through now.

Hi do you have videos that show how to install AC into a ‚98 Ford Ranger, pls.?
@WayneBarronsVlog
@WayneBarronsVlog Ай бұрын
It should be the same as what I showed in this video. This is an 83 Ranger, but the motor is from a 95 Ranger, so there should not be too much of a difference between the two.

I am assuming he had been in there for at least 3 years, give or take. The truck was out of commission for a while, and he probably got in there to sleep or get away from something hunting him and never got out. The ultimate trap. Once you get in, there is no getting out.

Didn't help. That was done years ago, but me and others. This is a known issue along the Ford Ranger Forums. To be honest, Ford should have done a Recall on this issue when it was first spotted long before I got this motor.

Thanks bro! My dumbass thought it was time to flush the brake fluid. So we pumped it out with the 2 person bleed method... And after an hour of pumping, the fluid came out fairly clear. Then I drove off, and the booster started burping when the pedal was released. I guess that's why it was so cheap when I bought it in 09'...

Heater cleaned out (it was gummed up). Solenoid replaced. Nozzles cleaned. Vinegar rinsed. Tested it and it is only pulling water out of the concentrate tank and NOT the main clean water tank. Dumpster is the next step unless there is yet another fix.

Only video that has the same cleaner like mine. The problem I am having is the part that covers the motor? will not fully go down. Still has a good 1/4 to go. I'm close to just cutting the whole plastic piece in half. As the flat part I can get flush. Then trying to figure out why the back piece will not go down without having to make sure all the hoses and such are not in the way each time I lift it up. This is the second, or third, bissell I've had and they all have had problems.

That sucks, especially with how hot it is right now. The unit went bad, there was a leak that took out the compressor, so now there is no AC. The entire unit has to be replaced in this truck, and to be honest, I am tired of messing with it. Once I get the extra funds, I am going to sell this truck and get something else.

I found that removing the plastic grille with the Ford emblem was very helpful to getting the new rad installed bc it allowed me to manipulate the condenser coils out of the way up top.

Could you provide some advice on my 94 Ranger also with the 4.0L. Too it to get the ac checked, they said the Freon was empty and added some but not cooling. They said I needed the whole system replaced for $900 I told them I was working on my KZfaq Mechanic Certification. Shoot if I changed the power steering pum my self I’m sure I can fix the AC. How do I know my Compresor is actually broken. Or lines aren’t clogged? Should I also change the canister? I have heat so I know the blower and heating element work.
@WayneBarronsVlog
@WayneBarronsVlog Ай бұрын
Sorry for the late response. Hopefully, by now, you have fixed your issue. My entire system has to be replaced, but due to inflation, the prices have skyrocketed for the entire system replacement. I am not an A/C guy, and I cannot advise you on what you would or should have done a year ago, but I know that if the compressor does not come on, then it is the compressor to the clutch or could be the wiring. If the compressor comes on and off, then you do not have enough freon. 1 - Add more freon. 2-Check for leaks. Get a dye kit and use it as instructed to find leaks in the system. (Take pictures of all hoses, compressors, tanks, and everything A/C related BEFORE and AFTER the DYE treatment. This will help in narrowing down where the issue is at.) My ENTIRE unit, hoses and everything showed signs of blue dye leaks. (Not good)
