Thomas and James another great video :) already seeing comparison video THE Defender vs Defender. I actually really like Inoes Grenadier but my choice would be QUARTERMASTER.

tesla should have a drag track mode, top speed 165 mph. once it reaches 130, its is electronically limited. if they raise the limit a lot of cars would never catch it in a quarter mile race.

As someone who always thought the defender was a good looking if not a bit agricultural of a vehicle, i really like this, wish I had a life that required me to need one!

What is it? It's obvious to anyone who loved the Defender before Land Rover ruined it. It's what the Defender SHOULD have been. In all fairness, the new Defender is absolute garbage. I've owned a LOT of Land Rovers, so it's not like I hate the marque or something. Go to the independent reliability testing entity of your choice and you'll find the Defender at the bottom of the list...of all the lists, actually. It looks pretty, but it's junk, and it's SPECTACULARLY unworthy of the Defender name. Personally, I can live with all the little niggles and bits that need fixing as a first-entry vehicle on the Grenadier, for the most part, but the BMW shifter in the midst of all the other manual controls is just idiotic. It's not like BMW don't make manual transmissions for that drive train. It needs a manual transmission, and some tweaks to the steering system, but other than that it's perfect. Love it!!

Anxiety is a given when driving a vehicle. I don't need distance and charging anxiety on road trips added on. Especially for a hundred grand. Find a lifetime battery and I'm electric, just not Tesla. Elon gets not a penny from me.

I had an X5 as a rental for a few weeks out west. I hated the BMW operating system and transmission control. The Grenadier seems to have the same system. I would rather throw a few thousand dollars in upgrades to an old Landcruiser or 4Runner if I wanted an off-road centered truck.

If your tyre pressure is a bit high then the car needs more correction on the road. 36 or 37 psi and it's much better behaved.

The offset pumpkins and locking console bin came directly from the last Defender. These are very cool- my uncle has one. Only thing that would make it cooler if if the price were $20K lower..

The real reason the Grenadier is worth the money? The only production SUV with all ONE TON running gear. Yep, that ZF transmission is used in Ram Trucks, except its not because INEOS added a heavy duty torque convertor. T case is gear driven with its own cooling system. The axles are in Dana 60 territory, the frame is closer to a semi truck. The steering gear box, will blow your mind. Could you add this type of thing to another rig aftermarket? Better start with a 50-60k budget. If you do not understand the value of one ton running gear, I get it, very few will ever use all that strength. But just know it will not break. Watch some off Trail Mater or Matts Videos to get a feel for how relentlessly IFS and new rigs snap and break on mostly easy to moderate trails. Peace of mind is what you get. My 1996 Montero broke on the Rubicon last summer....An UPGRADED Rubicon t-case out put yoke. ( now I have a flange)

Steering feeling - Im in the UK and taken my ND2 to a dealer around 50 miles away to drive their ND3 back to back. There 'IS' a subtle difference, but it's not drastic, it's very small but it is there. I certainly won't be rushing out to buy the ND3 because of this. There are lots of people claiming it to be drastic and night and day difference, I really think they're all drinking the Kool-Aid. Even Dave Coleman said 'a very minor reduction in friction'.
