How long did it take to print that model? Nice video! Love the demonstrations.

Excellent tutorial video. These carburators are so finnicky to work on and every once in awhile i get one that no matter what i do it just will not work right. At least now i have a better understanding of what goes on inside one. Geuss its time to start removing the welsh plug on some of the dead ducks to see if passage is plugged up behind them. Is there a special sealant needed when installing the welsh plug or do they mechanically seal just by setting them with a drift?
@WilliamFrawley5 күн бұрын
just a mechanical seal, no sealant required

Those enlarged 3-D printer models are brilliant. This is the first time I got any real understanding of how the tiny carburetors on 2-cycle garden equipment work. Lots of repair-tip videos out there, but nobody else takes the trouble to give the overview and explain the details of the fuel delivery cycle. For those who want to understand what's really going on inside these little marvels, watch this. Chinese factories may be able to turn them out today for $20 (I just bought two), but it took 150 years of creative thought and engineering to design and develop them. Appreciate that the next time you pull that starter cord.

Thank you!!! Best video and explanation step by step. My local shop wanted to charge me $682 for this, but I know better and I knew that part didn’t cost that much money. Granted the small evap leak also came up but it’s still not worth that any of money.

Durn! I've been rebuilding carbs for years and this is the best break down I have ever seen by far. It has given me a new understanding of things that can go wrong and how I might fix them. It also lets me see what I should expect to see when doing things like squirting carb cleaner in the various holes. Walbro carb are very common and the clones work just the same with minor variations. I owe you my thanks. Next time I lift a brew I'll toast you.

I bought one in October last year, sorry but what a useless piece of c#%p, the tail stock centre was 1.5 mm lower than the chuck center, absolutely useless.

I just recently got my Vevor lathe. It arrived all beat up, even the ends of the box were broken. You guessed it: FedEx delivery! Once inside, every piece of sheet metal was bent, some so bad the rivets were sheered. Three hours later I beat the dents out and re-riveted the metal. I spent another 6 hours adjusting each part and the tension of the moving parts. The three-jaw chuck has .008-inch runout. Then, the start stop switch would not keep the lathe running. Buyer beware.
