It is more helpful if the length of the cassava is given in centimetres. Of course, there must be at least one or two nodes/eyes on the cassava sticks. On the "protection" of the xassava sticks from fungi, nematodes etc, can he five what mass/weight of ash to dissolve in 1 litre of water? That we get the mass per litre which is the right concentration for the purpose. Else we end up with too little or too much ash in the water! IT HELPS IF THE QUANTITIES USED ARE SPECEIFIED!
