Can you control and adjust the brightness through the software instead of using the button on the camera? As a person with a disability (quadriplegia), the lighting feature would be useless to me without this workaround. Thank you.

I bought the Steetek 2pc 1 monitor KVM after my TESmart went down. Yes, I have the 2.0 system but I have a standard wired keyboard and mouse, really didn't need to worry about the 3.0. I am using an 31" Samsung LCD TV as a monitor which also eliminates the need for external speakers because the tv has that covered. Since most of my work is document, financials, and presentations, a simple operation was all I needed.

Quick question please. When the DJI is connected through the bluetooth and active in the pro video, will both the DJI and the phone mic pick up sound at the same time. i film my bowling leagues and tournaments and want both the DJI to hear my and the android recording to still pick up sound as well. thanks 520revsbowling

The electrical situation with this unit is garbage. Their special connection method is nothing but a way to get you to buy their cord. To make this work with the cord from the old unit I had to crimp my own connections which added way too much time to the install. I ditched the clip because the wires are not secure without being romex. I threw the clip out. Simple screw setup with wire nuts is all that is needed. They made this needlessly complicated in my opinion. Having said all this the unit is a beast and has an amazing 8 or 9 year warranty.

I looked at options for about a month, my son wanted a BIG locker room speaker for his hockey team. I have what I believe is just the newest model (Sport 320, identical to yours but has Gray under the handle instead of Red). So glad I didnt spend $600+ on a JBL, this has more than enough power to shake a concrete box locker room. Plenty loud for outdoor settings too like BBQs. Best feature is it can be used with plug or completely off battery as some rinks dont have outlets in their rooms. Battery life is great, just like you said, water resistance is legit, as it has certainly been splashed by water bottles after big wins. I bought from BestBuy website for $99. It is heavy but mine has the suitcase roller handle and wheels.

I have not performed this action yet but I would assume to locate screws under the labels or rubber feet and then most likely pry open gently to release what most likely are some snapped together sections and then locate the battery(ies) and replace. I would also suspect the batteries are hard wired so you may need to solder them out and back into place. This is all speculation as I have not needed to do that yet. Hope this was some help. I might suggest to check the internet and or youtube on how to do that. Might be there.

Those are pretty much the last of the portable drives that have hdds with removable sata to USB interface. Hdd based portable drives now come with a hdd PCB with USB built in, no SATA interface. My current laptop, when I bought it 3 years ago, I immediately upgraded it to 2tb using one of those portables, saved money as I got the portable for about $20 cheaper than buying the same 2tb drive on its own.

I looked into doing this with my micro usb 3 WD drive, but it looks like the drive doesn't have SATA connections. It has the micro usb right on the HDD PCB. I've not torn it apart to doublecheck, but that's what it looks like in pics I've seen. Was very disappointed

I tried this years ago on one of these USB3 drives, but after opening it, I found that the USB controller was part of the HD controller. It was all once piece. With that said, YMMV. I think it was a 500GB WD Passport from around 2010.

@BrandonFreemanAwesome good point, the older it is, and especially if it's a proprietary device, they may have added something to prevent something like this. That's why it's best to do this on a drive that you are not worried about losing if it doesn't work out, as in my case. The older spinning drives are now best used for backing up data that can be done while you're not around as they are slower. Anyway, good point and thanks.

They sell cheap USB-C adapters for these kind of connectors. Not quite as convenient as your fix, but also much less "work".

@Ecsa0014 This video only is to serve those who want to convert these. Of course, they can just get the cable, but now that USB C is the standard, it could be much easier in the long run to convert it and not need another cable. That's all this was meant to do.

Nice, I had always suspected most/all external HDDs were SATA drives inside an enclosure. I'm quite poor, so I hadn't wanted to try this and potentially ruin any of my drives, so thank you for this.

Just buy the appropriate Micro-USB-Type-B to USB-C cable. No need to open up the case and replace it.

@@KenPeriman If I may without making assumptions that you might not already, write up cue cards on the PC screen to guide the script keeping it it in mind to be short, sweet and succinct. The things like constant switch back and forth showing USB C and USB A connectors, out of focus and turning around and repeating it again with the cases was overkill. Say the drives use these interface cables, showing the cable ends once, then moving to the issues of cheap connectors as a cause of the poor performance with the snapshots of the bench test should have been sufficient. I tend to run on as well so I cue up the what, why, and how’s and keep the info short and to the point. Think of your listeners of have a short attention span which most people are because they are always in a hurry to get the info they need and don’t really want to listen to banter. You remember show-and-tell in school? Use that as the guideline. We were great at cutting things short in those days even though most of it was not liking an embarrassment or audience. 😂 Whatever you do … KEEP WORKING AT IT! Much of it boils down to knowing your audience and why they came to your channel. Example, the research I was doing to decide if I wanted to buy one of these enclosures knowing that they might work well over the scratches they will accumulate. Mentioning connectivity issue, especially with Macs that like to blow your shorts off by improperly dismounting themselves. Good Luck with the channel and reviews. Hope I have helped in some way without ruffling any feathers.

Hi Ken, great video..is the DJI USB receiver recognized on the camera app in Auto video mode? The problem with the pro mode is that it doesn't utilize Auto HDR and so it's by no means equal to the Auto mode.

@FloriTravels yeah that's the problem that it is recognized but is treated as a device to use for making calls, and the audio is quite substandard. This is basically the only way to use it if you don't have the receiver.

"USB" is being selected as audio source in the Video PRO-Mode? or, 2. is it automatically recognized as dominant audio sources in the video DEFAULT-mode as well? Just asking you this, in case you have tried out the receiver on a samsung phone.

I found one of these by the side of the road. It didn't have all the attachments. But, it had the main unit, the wand, and the floor nozzle. The only problem it had was that the brush roll was jammed up with a lot of junk wrapped around it. So, I just cut the junk loose with a knife and we got a free, working unit worth $250 brand new (according to Amazon).

You got some splaing to do.....according to Insinkerator you have to either hard wire (using romex) or use their special cord, you can not use a stranded wire cord like you used with that connector/adaptor.....
