Your a great goalie. I played in the late 70"s early 80's in Michigan. Double A and triple A at the end. Went to Tony and Phil Esposito Hockey camp in the Soo couple of summers back when Butterfly was somewhat frowned upon. Different gear, specially the fiberglass face formed masks. Same game but you are one great goalie. I will tell you I was great but after following your channel I would make a great backup goalie with you.

Hey mess I just got new gear any tips on breaking in my glove?

I would suggest storing your glove tied up tight with about 3 pucks in the pocket. When you’re done using it, put 3 pucks in the pocket and put your hand in the glove and close it until it’s fully sealed like you want it. Then use skate lace to tie it shut. Keep it like that until you use it next time, make sure you stretch the leather open before using it again…but that should help break it it relatively quickly. Maybe a week or 2 of that

Yeah to just know where they are positioned in front of the net without having to turn their head and eyes

Part of it is positioning, part of it is a mental reset. When I get scored on I do the same thing…skate to the side, get back in my net, tap my posts, and reset for the next shot. The routine helps you stay mentally calm and collected and not let the goal affect you too much.

So I like to tie my glove shut at night while I’m breaking it in. I’ll put 3 pucks in the pocket, put my hand in the glove, close it, then tie it closed. You could also use clamps! Now this won’t be the fastest break in time, but if you do that after every skate and let it dry closed like that, it will break in pretty quick IMO
