Try not to crank against your drag while line coming out. Line twists and extra stress on the drag system itself.

How far down did you guys camp at? We were at the 26mm. Didn't get any reds but 2 sharks on cut whitey.....48" & 36".

We were at 22mm and caught a 15” red on cut mullet and a 25” red on live mullet. No sharks landed but likely one that almost spooled me on a rig that definitely wasn’t setup for sharks!
