Huge influence on Napalm Death, who even “borrowed” the anti-music symbol and the phrase Campaign for Musical Destruction… After hearing DRI, Stark Raving Mad, S.N.O.T - all from Texas coincidentally - and others, I sought out anything that could compare to or beat the speed of those bands. Lärm were one of those bands

Saw Blink in 1995 or 1996. Small venue, maybe 30 people there. Didn’t know who they were at the time. I think it was The Good Times tour. A surf video that used a few of their songs.

I never saw them: in Perugia the car I was on board gave a french kiss to a carfriend of her.. In the first of Amsterdam three sold-out nights we had a close encounter of the first kind with the incorruptible Melkweg bouncers; in the second nite we had a close encounter of the second kind.. and so then we decided to spent that third nite at the Bulldog coffeeshop.. I had another chance to see the boys in Rome, two days after Perugia, but this time it was less fun: I also missed that concert because from the hospital I was taken directly to the morgue 'cause, as written on the tag with my family name they tied to my toe and which I believed to be the ticket of the show, I was 'dead' [Nicci] Kennedy

ive was a fan of Henry's all the way back to the SOA and BF days, but man this was the icing on the fucking cake !! First time seeing the Rollins Band was at the old Ritz in NYC, and it was life changing. To me, and i know Henry dont want to hear it but to me this point in time, from 1989 until The End Of Silence was the absolute apex in this bands career. Listen to Turned On really loud, you will never be the same again, 72 minutes of what you just seem here in this video. Without any individual member of this line up, there is no way the music could have even begun to approach this level of intensity, as this boarders on being a religious experience. Henry had no use for Andrew by the End Of Silence tour, and thats unfortunate because it was never the same once Andrew was kicked out. Not even close. And thats a damn shame. But this is just my opinion. Perhaps Henry saw a need to change the formula. I'm reading Now Watch Him Die which include the tour diary from that tour. I will read it with an open and free mind, as i want to know the truth. Regardless, i am so glad this video was posted, soon i will be 59, and this was the best birthday present i could ever ask for because i think I'm going to start playing bass again after a very long but necessay break in the action. Thank you Henry, Chris. Sim, Andrew, and Theo.... you still continue to rock me well after all these years.

All got a bit of a bum rap in Filmage, but i saw things very differently. For sure, they quietly appeared at first, but when Allroy's Revenge came out they became a pretty big deal very quickly. I think the Flipside readers' poll in early 1989 had them as 'Best New Band' of 1988, or something like that. I love the two Smalley records, but Allroy's Revenge is an all-time classic, right up there with the best of Descendents, in my opinion.
