I agree. Xerxes..Blackmore in, his prime, would have cut this guy to ribbons. I am lucky enough to have seen Purple in 1970 ,twice. Blackmore was unique and a force of nature. His tone was raw,griit laden,butter.,Scalloped maple neck stratocaster ,with treble boost and 100 watt Marshall super lead stacks . Saw Hendrix (who I love)at the Isle Of Wight festival the same year,was abit dissapointed.,Blackmore was just different. Arrogant, aggresive,confident and an amazing showman. I like this guitar player,but... he is nowhere near Blackmore. Maybe he should play a Strat instead of a boring P.R.S. ???

@@Stargazer-px7fw Most people have no idea how great Morse is. I was present when there were six guitar players on stage including the great John Petrucci. Petrucci walked in front of Morse and did a bow of reverence. I've watched Steve Lukather talking about Morse and he asks him how do you do that! Go watch KZfaq videos of guitar players try to show others how Morse plays some of his stuff. I've seen over 300 guitar players live, there is no match to Morse.

Better fit on the MKII stuff, but Morse's songwriting is amazing. The issue is that Purple doesn't play their post Blackmore material.

My favorite incarnation is Gillian, Glover, Paice, Lord and Morse. Airey was hand picked by Lord and is my second favorite. Morse is a master... Morse and Lord and then Airey are always in sync... Pictures of Home off the Live in Australia 1999 is phenomenal

@@DS-yg4qs oh right… I often listen to the likes motzart, Handel & Bach. It’s very precise, doesn’t sound like a computer to me. I often listen to Gilmour too & his solos are very precise. Maybe you have a different sense of ‘feel’ to another person. It’d be a little weird if we all had the same ‘soul’ right?
