I appreciate his perspective, but there are plenty of people who find its a very light burden and even a thoroughly enjoyable task to open their bibles and read. My wife has to get me to put mine down, not pick it up. And im not the only one. But prayer is a struggle for me sometimes. I feel like im fighting to pray a lot. Different people have different tendencies, even if not gifts

The Karate Kid original movies years ago taught us the importance of repetition to train the the mind to work with the body when a correct response is required immediately. Indeed, work with God every day with devotion to discipline because the living God through Jesus Christ is life. 📖✝️🇦🇺

Man I fucking hate Paul Washer. He just has a natural way of making Christianity sound like complete and utter dog shit. This is one of the only videos I've seen of him where he's not just completely sad and pestimistic about the reality of this world....You listen to a sermon by him and now you NEVER would Want To be a Christian. It's always so fucking tragic. Like how he laments on how he wishes people wouldn't go to hell by believing in God and about how He prays over the millions of people who are so lost...... Well maybe if God actually cared about us and came down and revealed himself to us in the flesh and through miracles in the Old Testament like back in the day we would have a little bit more grounds to believe....... It never made sense to me that God puts us on this sinful planet full of evil and then puts in the Bible that we are supposed to know him intrinsically through the beauty of creation and by observing his invisible qualities yet the world is so full of sin..... Like what the fuck am I supposed to infer... That this somehow beautiful world that God made is somehow not perfect even though God is perfect.... That doesn't make any sense. I'd rather have a God that comes down and reveals himself to the people through miracles and other non natural phenomena and order to get them to believe like in the Old Testament and then judges us based on whether or not we choose to follow him once that truth has been revealed....... Instead we get a God that throws us on a sinful planet full of evil and deaths of millions of Jews due to Hitler and God doesn't do anything about it..... And then he says that you're supposed to have faith in him without the evidency displayed in the Old Testament....... It's fucking bullshit. There I don't think would be A single person in hell if God simply came down and showed that he was God like in the Old Testament....... Well really the only people who would be in hell at that point would be those who completely denied wanting to have anything to do with God knowing full well his beauty and power. But no The God we get is one who refuses to speak with you your whole life and then you die as an agnostic and he sent you to hell simply for not lovig him..... That's so bullshit because God literally never gave me a reason to show love towards him or proved that he was worth it at all in my entire life but somehow it's my fault for not believing that God is good..... Seriously Paul washer and God can go fuck himself I'm so tired of this Pessimistic message I mean just look at the title of this video read the Bible or die...... OK so if I never even have access to a Bible and I was born in a third world country or God forbid North Korea or some shit where I never get to read a Bible then I guess I'm just going to fucking die in my own despair in misery 😂😂😂😂So it's either God reaches out to you in that situation or he doesn't and if he can reach out to you in that situation with No Bible access to reveal himself that he can do it for me who does have access to a Bible. If he won't do it for those who have access to a Bible then I truly wish I had never read it.

In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. He created humans too to have a relationship with Him. That's our purpose as humans that have a relationship with God. Sin, however, messed that up because it made us imperfect and imperfect creatures cannot have a relationship with a perfect and holy God. That's why we so oftentimes feel empty, unsatisfied and unaccomplished because we're not in relationship with the God we were created to be in a relationship with. But that's where Jesus comes in. Jesus is God's son and He came down to earth in human form to live the same life we do yet unlike us He never sinned. Jesus is perfect. Yet despite the fact He is perfect He died on the cross for our sins and sacrifice Himself for us. The punishment for our sins is death but because Jesus took that punishment for us if we put our faith in Him and receive Him as Lord and savior we can be reconciled to God and be restored to that relationship we were created to have. And we can be sure that Jesus is the Son of God because on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead and in that He defeated death and the grave, proving that He can do the same for us if we put our faith in trust in Him. That's how you get to Heaven. That's how you become full in your heart. That's how you become reconciled to the God who created you.

I have been reading 6 chapters a week. 3 in the morning 3 in the evening and God's promise in psalms 1:1-3 didn't fail. So many instances that it's those chapters that i read, understanding the context of them that i was able to answer people who badly need that specific part of the bible. It just brings more and more trust in God and discipline in me, and awe in His mercy to even let me understand His word and at the right time use me to edify others... It is indeed, breathe His word or die for me

Everyone will die no matter how long they live. God made the human being to die. Whether you read the Bible or any other book you cannot escape death. The question is what happens after death because there are only places after death, heaven or hell. The Quran states if anyone comes to God with a religion other than Islam it will never be accepted from him and he will be among the losers in the afterlife. 3:85.

Not if you believe in OSAS, which Paul does. You don't have to read your bible, walk after the spirit or walk in the light and Paul thinks you are still saved......He of course can deny this, but it is true and the consequences of believing in OSAS

First things first, how about turning the music down so the speaker can be better heard? A deciple is a Disciplined Learner. Now this is going to be a tough one; In the book of Revelation with the seven churches. Is the angle of the church the pastor of the church? When you read in the book of Haggis the prophet speaks to the hierarchy first then the high priest then the people. Sorry to say that it's so much of the churches fault as to why people grow so slowly and fall away but of course there will certainly be arguments against what said here. Justification Always comes into play. In these Last Days could it be that God the Father is Calling His Children unto Himself as in Ezekiel chapter 34? I'm sure these statements offend people but it offends preachers and teachers the most. I myself don't go by (Name Tags, denominations anymore) but as Jesus says nolonger do I call you servants but now I call you Friends. In Luke chapter 5 Christians need to get off the shallow shore of teachings and get into the Boat with Jesus and let down their nets for a Spiritual catch from the Logos to the Ramah.

Listen to the Word of God being read, there are several choices of readers and versions of the Bible. My favorite is the KJV read by Alexander Scourby. It is on KZfaq or the recording can be purchased. "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Romans 10:17. Of course, still read, but you can listen when driving or doing chores.

Love Paul Washer! He's influenced me so much. Before I came to Christ a few years ago, the Bible seemed so big and intimidating, but I've been reading it every single day since turning to Christ, and it's not intimidating anymore. It's my lifeline, and I can't imagine missing a day. It's such a treasure to me.

Joy and peace in the Holy Spirit and the rest will be added to you, It's not a fight but a gift and a privilege reading the Scriptures the fight is with the flesh and the new man as Romans 7 clearly describes, Christians you don't need stacks of books degrees and diplomas the Holy Spirit is your teacher to many preachers all pushing what they think you should do and making you feel you have lost your salvation or you need to work to stay saved each day living a sinless perfection life. Christian book shops have thousands of books pointing in every direction confusing the Gospel of free grace. The greatest lie the Devil has done is to complicate the simple message of the Gospel because of Man's pride to be heard on different platforms and sell books, that's what killing us.

Romans 6:23 For the penalty for sin is death, but, (the good news) The GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus finished work on the cross. What do you have to do to receive a free gift? How do we receive the free gift? First John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD. Jesus, the Son of God, came down from heaven to be the savior of the world. He went to the cross as the lamb of God, to take the penalty for sin, which is death, and paid the debt we owe God so we could never be condemned again. John 3:18. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. Romans 3:26-28. You cannot boast in 0. The gift of God is eternal life. It cannot be lost because it is eternal life, not temporary life, or probationary life, but ETERNAL LIFE. John 10:28-29. No one can pluck us from His hand. First John 5:13.

I like the idea and I also believe it's important to understand what you are reading. The Bible is an ancient document and most laypeople without Greek knowledge would do well to join a Bible Study to understand the context.

I don't know exactly how I developed a deep hunger/need to read or hear scripture preached every day. I'm older and I suspect a confluence of difficult events (aka "life") punched me in the gut and completely got my attention for the first time in my Christian life. I'm very thankful for that hunger, that need, now. My life is a three-legged table w/o reading or hearing His word every day now. It's not because I'm a "good person" or better than anyone else. It's because I need His help and assurances. It's because I am fully a child of my Creator now and I know it. As I enter into the last part of my life, I can and could endure most anything so long as I have a copy of His word. We are so lucky to have the Bible. And it's free, as is His gift of salvation. The invoice has been paid by Him for all of us who seek and believe on Him. Seek, and you will find Him.

No where in scripture are we commanded to just read scripture. We are however commanded to - Study to show thyself approved of God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15...... " Rightly Dividing " here is the Greek word " Orthotomēo- meaning to disect perfectly the word of truth, to line oneself up perfectly in that truth. Charles H. Spurgeon wrote that we are " ":Dig into scripture like a miner digging for gold " always giving serious prayer to scripture study! For Satan will always lie and distract, and attempt to compromise scripture truth, so one will never see that truth that sets one free from the shackles of the S-elf, I-sh, N-ess where Satan wishes to keep each of us!
