Hello! Thanks a lot for this amazing tutorial! For once I didn't feel overwhelmed and had the impression that I understood every step, im Ableton as well as i Octatrack. I have a bit (but still limited experience) with Ableton but Octatrack is still a big mystery to me.... 😂 So, I have to say, you explained it very well and in a good pace, which even a noob like me could follow! I hope you will do more tutorials (also in english). On thing that would be nice, would be a tutorial about using through machines to spice up a recorded DJ mix or - why not - a Live set played from Ableton, e.g. via Push and then mangled via the Through machine! ;-) But - if you do not mind - I would have a few questions about the current tutorial. Here they are: 1) Could you not create folders (by key), directly on OT and then dump the corresponding samples into those folders and load the spunds from the specific folders as per your needs (specific key), following the Chamelot wheel? 2) Wouldn't it make sense to prepare the samples in Ableton, so that they all have the same lenght (e.g. 128 or 256) steps to avoid unnecessary work in Octatrack itself. 3) Why do you name the "tracks" 1A, 2B, 3A, 4B, 5A, etc. instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Did I miss something here?? 🤔 4) Which machines are you using? Static or flex? (Why? Would it make a difference in this specific case?) 5) As mentionned earlier, could you do a tutorial about the usage of "Through Machines" and will you do kore tutorials for beginners/less experienced users? As already mentionned earlier, for the first time I had the impression that I understood something Octatrack-related and that I could follow the pace. Hola muchas gracias por el tutorial Excelente 👍👍 Estoy valorando comprar el MK2 me gustan bastante sus sonidos , pero agradecería saber si conectándole un secuenciador externo por MIDI ejemplo el Beat Step Pro de Arturia pudiera disparar más de 4 secuencias al mismo tiempo usando los sonidos del MK2 , ejemplo secuencia de Bajo, Pad , Lead , Pluck , más los sonidos del Drum Kick , Hi, Claps etc Agradecería ayuda con esta información saludos

No tengo el best step pro pero diria que si. Yo tengo el Torso T1 y envio midi a los cuatro canales por separado, incluso varios canales midi a la misma pista del A4 para crear variaciones. El sinte es una bestia. Cuesta sacarle brillo y todo el provecho pero suena de lujo.

No es verdad que sea una maquina complicada, lo que si es verdad es que no es una maquina amateur. Si tu rollo es sentarte a veces a hacer un ritmo y divertirte para pasar el rato, compra una Roland TR. Si eres un profesional, que quieres hacer música sin el PC, compra esta máquina, y puedes hacer una performance al vivo, si quieres también

The AI generated thumbnails are a big turn off. I automatically select “do not recommend channel” when I see AI generated art in general, but especially when it’s music. AI is a threat to all artists

Gran descubrimiento este canal sobre música electrónica y hardware! Yo estuve por pillarme esta máquina despues de años con Digitakt y las otras Digis, sobretodo para samples estereos y largos, pero me decanté por el workflow de Digitakt + overbridge + USB midi (con ipad maravilla), + SP-404MK2 ya que es más inmediato. Por cierto, muy buena idea sobre tutoriales en español sobre Octatrack o cualquier otro hardware. Ya que la mayoría de videos buenos son en ingles. Saludos!

Thanks for your enthousiasm and useful vidéo. I am sonderont how close or far are the analog possibilities of the there analog tracks of the Syntakt compared to three tracks of the AF4 ? Never found an idea from YTube Have you an idea ? Thanks

Hi. I haven't tried the Syntakt. The Syntakt is more focused on drums and percussion sounds, although it also does have analog synthesis.The AF4 has a small keyboard which is convenient. Also the size, price and key layouts are different. It's up to you the decision on those factors. I'd say both sound great.

Hola, gracias por ver mis vídeos. Sí, el Nord Lead 4R tiene efectos y son buenos: distorsiones y reverb/delay. Los efectos de la octatrack no son tan buenos, sobre todo las reverbs, así que intento evitarlas usando las de los synthes cuando los combino. Todo entra a la Octatrack y esta hace de mixer y sobre todo de loop recorder, para facilitar las transiciones.
