Thanks. But l blame the designers for inventing a strap that needs a youtube video.

This advertisement made me feel like NOT buying it, annoying music, lack of serious description and use, please compare them to the 32mm and show how fast you can change focus to close (ie if looking at a bird) what comes in the package, how to care for it, different ways to hold and store it etc

Thank you! You would think it’s elementary but I had the hardest time figuring out how to tie the strap of the binoculars I bought from Amazon! This video solved that problem!

These 5 minute road trips just get better and better. Billy is a natural, he's knowledgeable and informative. The cinematography is understated with some really lovely mindful moments. The series deserves more mainstream exposure, I'm looking forward to series 2.

How does the Verano 8x32 compare to the Aurora BGA BHD 8x42 binoculars? These both received pretty good reviews. Cheers!

Do you know how these compare to the Zeiss Conquest in clarity and brightness? I’m considering the Aurora binoculars in either a 10x42 or an 8x42 version. That is some beautiful scenery. Cheers from the states!

Might be too late of a reply, but I owned both Zeiss and Swarovski. Suffice to say I now own only the Opticron. The FoV is up there at such a point you don't really care for the difference and the same goes for the clarity. We're talking Opticron vs Swarovski's very best, the NL Pures and Zeiss Victory, of which I owned both. For over double the price you might get a 5% improvement.

I appreciate the reply and am still debating which binoculars to purchase. I read some positive reviews and comments on the latest versions of Opticron Aurora 8x42 and Verano 8x32 binoculars. The only negative comments were the eyes cups not staying in place when extended and a a rough counterclockwise focus wheel. Do you own the 8x42 Opticron Aurora? If so, what are your overall impressions? Do the eye cups stay put and are they comfortable? Does the focus wheel turn smoothly? Cheers!

@@archstanton9703 The focus wheel on the Swarovski was smoother but I think partly because it was easier, for whatever reason Opticron I've found have a stiffer focus but it can mean you're more accurate. Eye cups are not detachable and are only middling in quality, however, I've had no issues with it and would give it a pass rather than a merit, but Zeiss was also just a pass, Swarovski a distinction in this regard. Not a huge issue for me since I'm a eye glasses wearer. The cups ride up and down nicely when twisted.

@@nick4uukI just purchased the Opticron Oregon 8x42 and it’s a pretty clear and bright. These are a bargain for the price and quality. I also have a pair of Savanna 6x30 porro prism binoculars that are a real value for the price. The eye cups on the Aurora are comfortable enough and look similar to the ones I’ve seen in pictures of the Aurora and Verano that I’ve seen. I don’t like the hard rubber eyecups that Vortex and Leupold use. I purchased and returned a pair of Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32’s because they seem to lose FOV with the eyecups fully extended. I was thinking about trying a pair of Conquest 8x42’s, but had my eye on the Aurora 8x42’s because of their flat field view and light weight. I take it from your comments comparing the Auroras to the higher end Zeiss and Swarovski offerings that the Auroras are superior to the Zeiss and Leica offerings at the same price point of 1k. I have Meopta Optika and Pentax ZD WP 8x42’s in order. If none of these are provide me with the view I’m looking for, I’m going to give the Auroras a try. Cheers from across the pond!

Thanks for the report. It seems to me these products come from the same chinese manufacturer as the Kite optics stabilized binoculars. Very similar design and hapctics (battery compartment, switches, eye pieces, even straps and bag are similar).

How does this monocular compare to a Soviet ZOMZ MP2 7x50 monocular of the same design in terms of color reproduction/low-light visibility? I am asking because together with roof prism Opticron Mono 5x30 with a bit unfortunate focusing mounted on variable eye relief, Marine 3 seems to be one of few affordable (under 150$) all-weather monocular options for low-light use from a company with decent customer service that questionable quality Aliexpress offers can hardly provide, while above mentioned ZOMZ MP2 7x50 got yellow tint when looking at surfaces that should be white, thus making it less desirable for mounting to a phone camera, despite being very sharp around center area.

Thanks for the enquiry. Never having made a direct comparison we can't be sure but the M-3 7x50 doesn't have a yellow cast. In fact it has a very neutral colour balance to it.

Once technology allows this product to shrink into a size of 10-24x25 or 30mm lens diameter compact monocular like your great value entry-level Opticron 30711 T4 Trailfinder WP 10x25 I am sure that this class of monoculars find their place on the higher-end market due to better low-light performance compared to what is possible to achieve on current flagship smartphones with higher stabilized optical zoom without using multiple zoom cameras in single phone and software picture merging for better low-light performance, but as for now, it's too bulky and even older nature lovers with money to burn likely rather stick to smartphones, or dumb unstabilized monoculars for nature watching. Perhaps it would be easier with the limitation of the current technology to develop a monocular cap-sized CMOS sensor camera with stabilization as seen on Sony Alpha full-frame cameras with the display on its back or even connected to a smartphone that you just put on the eyepiece of your existing compact monoculars to add some physical/digital hybrid stabilization while making your existing lineup of compact monoculars compatible with such add-on more attractive to buyers. I have seen monocular eye cap-sized camera modules on some Chinese-made monocular optics for macro shots/fake microscopes already selling, so if you don't develop such technology, your competition will sooner or later do it instead and many customers will be likely lost with further improvements in smartphone cameras that already outpaced camera technology in miniature military drones, so you need to choose your development direction wisely to not end like Kodak...
