I remember me and my dad was so confused when his dash cam didn't light up like it did in the video It turns out it had an infrared/ultraviolet (can't remember which) light That was only visible on a camera I felt like an idiot once I finally figured it out and pulled out my phone's camera just so that my dad could see the light actually was on

Not sure what you mean by malfunctioning when plugged in, but it shouldn't have any issues no matter how long its plugged into a computer, considering it takes 3-4 hours to fully charge. To tell the battery life just plug it into charge. Blinking Red light = Charging, Solid Blue light = Fully charged.

Yes, the power LED is present when turned on, you can cover that up with some black electrical tape or you can turn off the light through the Zetta Widget. The IR light is not visible.

This device is portable, but if you want to record outdoors, it is sensitive, so expect wind and abrasion of clothing to be expected. However, elements such as rain can cause the device to malfunction. So, make sure the device is protected. I would not suggest this as an all-day outdoor recorder because of those variables, but we do have outdoor security cameras with audio! spycentre.com/collections/security-cameras

I do not carry anything to meet that need, our audio recorders are great for sound activation, but in an optimal setting such as indoors; where less wind or sounds, otherwise it would be continuously recording. They're pretty sensitive as it is.

There’s no mention made to when you should put back the voice recorder. According to you m, when the date is set, one should immediately remove the recorder and start a recording… from there, you jumped right away to the recorder poppping up on the computer…

When I set my recorder to "VOS" and use it for a day or two, I get a single file, not separate files when the recorder comes on and goes off automatically. I thought I was going to get multiple files for each activation.
