I bought a bleeding kit from another brand with several adaptors since I didn't know the dimensions of the upper or lower bleed ports on the Explorer. I found one that worked to screw into the top port, but it had a hose connection on the other end, rather than something the funnel would fit into. The funnel tip itself was the wrong size to screw directly into the port as yours does. Bleed Zone sells all kinds of bleed kits. It would be VERY helpful if you included the actual specific kit you bought with the funnel/cup that fits the bee cool bleed port on the upper port, rather than saying you bought "a kit" off of Amazon. You briefly show the package but all that is visible is the brand name and you don't mention any particular kit or what brand or type of brakes it is designed for. All this video provides is that it's from Bleed Zone, and was about $20 on Amazon. Unfortunately there's several kits that fit that description. It's a mystery to me what type of brake calipers Bee Cool uses, or what size the upper bleed port is on these, and unfortunately after this video it still is. Likewise, on their website, the instructions for bleeding brakes offer only broad, general instructions and don't include any information on brand, size of upper port or which bolt on the caliper is the bleed port and other drain port... or how they work.

Good explanation of what you did. My problem is that I don't know which bolt on the caliper is for bleeding the fluid at the caliper, and you don't specify it either, though it looks like you kind of point to one. Most instructions say to put a hose over the bleed nipple on the caliper, however the caliper of the Explorer has none. And there's two bolts on it. I suspect one is the bleed port, and the other is the bleed valve, but have no idea which is which. Was hoping this would be shown here, but it's not. You also only did the last step of the bleeding process as instructions for most lay out. The first step is to attach the funnel or bowl and then you rig up syringe and tubing to bottom bleed valve, then open top port at lever and push fluid into system from the syringe attached to the caliper and push it up into the cup. You then use plunger and stop that off and remove old oil, replace it, fill with a table spoon or two of fresh oil, and then draw that back into the system from the syringe at the bottom. Then, you compress brake lever and hold it down, then open and shut bottom bleed port quickly, and continue this 4-5 times until no bubbles appear at the bottom tube. And then and only then do you do the step you demonstrate where you burp the upper lever.

I could be wrong, but is there a different rhythm to your edit in this version? Or different use of transistions?

Cool footage, and great stabilization on your cameras! Are your transitions added plug-ins or part of the editing software you're using?

Nice job on the editing. I have a feeling you might not be using the same camera now. I still use a really cheap action cam as a back up cam I got for just $25 that claims top be 4K quality, but it's not. Still, it has pretty good stabilization.

Yea…I started with a $40 Chinese FoPro….I eventually upgraded to a Hero 5 and 7 but I haven’t kept up with learning them…much better video, but harder to learn…plus my computer is so old I can’t use it anymore and editing on iPhone (which all my videos are so far) is very limited. I retire soon and hoping to get a new computer and spend time learning it and the GoPros.

@@drzmaniac A new computer will make a difference. Just make sure it has a good graphics card and plenty of RAM. I place all of my footage on an external hard drive and when editing a play and save from that. Makes things faster and easier on my laptop.

Hey so I recently had issues with my beecool challenger , the right brake which the rear stopped working as efficiently as when it was new ** note I got the bike December 2022** so about 7 months .. so lever comes in all the way and almost touches the throttle and grip I definitely feel the loss in stopping power , the front brake is okay …. I took it to my local bike/ e-bike repair and they claim nothing is wrong with the brakes … but I definitely feel the loss in stopping power which riding in LA is needed sooo after watching your video I’m convinced i need to bleed my brakes ???? 🤔 apparently my brake pads are good so that’s not a concern

Thanks for the video. I have the bee cool explorer for my first ebike and you pretty much have to take it all the way back to the handlebars to get any stopping in the front brake after 140 miles. I took it to the local bike shop but they don't work on ebikes and the guy said he could take a quick look. Then said it was fine, you just have to squeeze harder. That didn't sound right to me especially since the brake started off fine and the other brake was fine. Even if they don't work on ebikes they should know how to bleed hydraulic disc breaks geez. These videos help the newbies learn how to maintain their bikes on their own.

I think the wife and I are going to get them for our anniversary our kids are young and fast on mountain bikes and we have a variety of permanent issues from a life of farming but we want to go out and play. Been reviewing bikes for a few years and these are the best bang for the buck. Except for a few people who think it’s a dirt bike or made to beat the crap out of daily they should be perfect for our needs

@@TamponTea max range never tested. But have 2nd battery in case i want to test it full out. Other issues: kickstand broke. They were good on free replacement. Rear suspension too tight. Bike is flimsy and wobbles with weight on rack. Rack broke near top attachment both sides. Tires are holding up well no visible wear at 1200 miles. Bike pulls loaded trailer 100lbs. No problem. Wiring in 3rd battery onbord in ammo boxes as saddlebags. Ice riding no problem. Up to 3" snow max before loss of control. Stay in touch. Share info and stories.

Becool adventurer owner here. Same issue with brakes but after pad replacement @1100 miles. Turns out rear caliper mount is too high and presses pads only 1/2 way onto the disc. I will be grinding it back to fit properly. Uneven pad wear. And about to buy the bleed kit as well. Informative. Thanks 😊.

I've been checking around as I learn to take care of my ebike myself. It seems like you're always going to get uneven padwear with hydraulic disc brakes unless you upgrade to a significantly more expensive caliper set because only one side presses in and the other side is stationary. Interested in knowing your results though.

I never wanted a big lumbering SUV and even less so in a bike. Having fat tires is great about 0.1% of the time... the other % they are just an impediment to riding. Micro battery, the cheapest components possible, but the worst aspect of this Baby Huey is the oh-so-lame little hub motor. This POS ebike like others in its price range is built to be sold rather than to be even a mediocre ebike. Cheap junk and rides like it.
